| (Costa Rica, 5 March, 2006) The most recent win on Saturday has stretched the Knicks record to 16 wins on the season. However, even with the win they are on pace to challenge the current franchise record for fewest wins in a season. The current franchise low of only 21 victories has happened twice, in 1960-61 and again in 1962-63. However, in all fairness, both of those teams played only 80 or fewer games. The current Knicks are lucky enough to play 82, making the accomplishment deserving of much more attention. "I have a feeling that this is not what Larry Brown expected when he left the Detroit Pistons," said Wagerweb.com CEO Dave Johnson. "The New York Knicks are one of the most underachieving teams in the NBA Basketball League. With the highest annual payroll in the entire NBA, at a little over $120,000,000, they have only notched 15 wins. The New Orleans Hornets have an annual payroll of only $48,000,000, and they have 31 wins under their belt. Money doesnt always buy wins in professional sports. The Knicks will break their current mark for losses with less than 5 wins in their 23 remaining games. We expect to take a large amount of money on 19-20 wins which will break the record" WAGERWEB.COM POSTS NBA BETTING ODDS ON: "WHAT WILL BE THE TOTAL NUMBER OF WINS BY THE NEW YORK KNICKS THIS SEASON?" |

| yeah no doubt the knicks have prob been the biggest disappointment this season in the nba...no one expected them to win the title this yr, but i didnt think they would be any worse than a no 7 or 8 seed in the east, instead they will likely finish w the worst record in the league, and dont even have their no 1 pick lol...they need to clean house from top to bottom....all management needs to go, they make dumb decision after dumb decision...i want to know why they keep trading for all these players who no one wants at maxed out salaries, ridiculous

| Yeah Naught, I agree. All of the NBA franchises are beginning to love the Knicks. If a team wants to dump an under achieving players contract, it seems the Knicks will happily take it off thier hands. LMFAO. If the Knicks don't have something planned for the offseason with these idiotic moves, then they are in a world of shit and probably one of the worse front office in league history. |
