Does anyone on here make a living off betting on sports? i was just wondering.

Welcome to the forum coolguytennis.

I for one don't do it for a living. It's extremely difficult to make it a full time job. There are too many variables when considering making it a living.

First you have to have a considerable amount for a starting bankroll plus have about a year or 2 living expenses to fall back on.

It would involve alot of discipline. Stick to a betting routine everyday. About 10-15 hours a day capping, watching line movements, scalping, middling and researching everything till your blue in the face.

It would turn out to be not fun anymore and a job just like any other.

I persoanlly would probably end up not liking sports or betting anymore in about 3-4 years of trying to make it a living...

I'll keep it a hobby and enjoy it, make some extra cash and not worry about my livelyhood.

I know of this one handicapping site that does the picks. precisionpicks.com they look pretty good to me. i was wondering if you could use their picks and risk like 500-1000/game and make a living like that?

btw I'm only 20 years old and just interested

If your considering making it a living. I advise doing your own work and not putting your livelyhood into someone elses hands.

Most of the handicapping sites on the internet are out to make money themselves, not necassarily to help you make a living or even them a living off thier picks. Alot of these sites don't even place bets. You would most likely be a fall back for them in case they have a losing month if they did.

Think about this, if these handicappers were so good and made alot of money off thier own picks, why would they even bother with the hassle of making a site, trying to promote thier service and seeling thier picks in the very competitive industry.

Makes no sense to me..

Always be careful and watch your back. There are alot of scammers out there ready to rip anyone off.

well their records of that site are good. I have emailed them also. they respond fast. I don't know.. They seem pretty good.. why wouldn't you suggest them? I mean look at the records. I've bought some of their picks just to test them out and they claim the same picks.

It's not that I don't suggest them, I just do all of my own capping that's all.

It doesn't matter what I think, your the one interested and buying picks. I suggest doing your own research on any sportsbook or tout service before throwing money thier way.

dont know that site personally man, but in general its tough to make $$ just by following and paying services...they may have a good % but thats over the yr, u could hit a cold streak when u start w them..ure better off doing ur own hw and analyzing the games urself..if u dont know anything aboutit u should lay off
