Below is one of my SEC picks this week, as I think the Hogs are going to rebound from a rough start and roll in Nashville. This line is way too low. I hope to continue to be ON FIRE as I have started out to my best season ever, picking 15-2-1 thus far in the SEC ATS. I'm up so much, I'm tempted to stop now. Week 3 Pick:
Arkansas -6 @ Vanderbilt - Simply put, this line is too low, and grab it
before it gets to 7 points. This is a very strong play. I think this line
should be more like 12 points, but I'll tell you why it's 6. A) Arkansas
got drubbed by USC and only scored 20 against Utah State and B) Vandy almost beat Bama and is 2-0 ATS so far this year. That seems like solid info to pick the Commodores, but trust me and go with Arkansas here. Arkansas starts slow every year, and they are going to start putting things together this week. Vandy, meanwhile, will feel a little deflated after last week's near upset in Tuscaloosa. They won't be able to have that kind of performance two weeks in a row. Arkansas RB Darren McFadden is starting to get hot, and their freshman quarterback now has a game under his belt. In addition, Arkansas lost to Vanderbilt last year, and they will have a little extra focus and motivation not to get surprised again. Also, I'm usually pretty big on home-field advantage in the SEC, but Vanderbilt isn't exactly the toughest place to play. Hogs by about 17 in this one.
