Was any team hotter than the Panthers last season at the end? They came from nowhere and won six out of their last seven to win the Big East. They ultimately lost in their Bowl to a better Utah team, but that does not change the fact that they return 16 starters from a team that did what no one thought they could or would. Pitt went into Notre Dame last season and won 41-38, now they sit at home where they were 4-1 ATS last season and 7-4 ATS over the past three. Their offense ranked a decent 45th last season and will only improve this season. Notre Dame ranked 73th on offense and things may not get much better. They dropped four out of their last five games and did not look good doing it. They are 9-13 ATS in non conference games over the past three seasons and 4-7 ATS as a dog. Their defense was their stronger point last season and they since they return only three starters, the production will go down.

San Francisco (Lowry -$110) against Arizona (Vargas).
The Giants are playing well and Lowry is red hot right now, a lethal connection. San Fran has won three straight games and is 6-4 over their last ten games. Lowry is now 11-11 with a 3.68 Era on the season after his last three starts, 3-0 with a 1.08 Era. Arizona is 3-7 over their last ten games, dropping three straight, and is only 29-38 at home this season. Vargas is 8-7 on the season, but holds a 5.05 Era, which goes up to 7.41 over his last three starts.
