Big Als late phone service
3* North Carolina State -- At 2 pm, our selection is on the NC State Wolfpack, who come into Sunday's game off back to back blowout wins (91-61 and 91-59) at the RBC Center. NC State has been especially tough at home over the last 5 years, going 30-13 ATS as favorites of minus 5 points or more vs. foes off a straight-up win. And the Wolfpack also fall into a 42-14 ATS system of mine which plays on certain home teams off blowout wins when matched up against foes that are off wins of less than 10 points. Finally, Delware is 1-7 ATS vs. a non-conference foe off a win and 0-5 if that foe also covered the spread in that win. Take NC State.

3* Chicago Bears -- At 1 pm, our NFC Game of the Month is on the Chicago Bears, as we will fade the Panthers off their string of 6 straight wins. Since 1980, unrested teams off 6 or more wins who also covered the spread in each of their last 3 games are a poor 17-42 ATS, provided they aren't playing with revenge. And we can improve our 42-17 stat to a perfect 11-0 ATS if our hot team has a won/loss percentage over .750 and they're matched up against a foe off back to back wins. The Panthers come into Chicago with a 7-2 record and face a Bears squad that's won 5 in a row, so Lovie Smith's team falls into our 11-0 tightener. Take the points.

3* Atlanta Falcons -- At 1 pm, our NFC South Game of the Year is on the Atlanta Falcons, as .583 or better home teams are an awesome 17-0 ATS if they're off a SU loss as a favorite and matched up against a foe off a win as an underdog, provided our foe didn't cover the spread by more than 12 points in its last game. With Tampa in off a 36-35 upset win over Washington (as a 1-point dog) and Atlanta in off a 33-25 loss to Green Bay (as an 8.5-point favorite), we'll lay the points with the Falcons on Sunday.

3* Cincy Bengals -- At 4:15 pm, our AFC Game of the Month is on the Cincy Bengals over Indianapolis. Last week, the Colts failed to cover vs. Houston, and NFL teams off 7 or more wins plus an ATS loss in their last game are a poor 3-15 ATS when priced from +2.5 to -8.5 points, including an awful 0-8 ATS on the road. The Colts have taken advantage of a WEAK schedule to be 9-0 but will lose straight up today. Take the points with Cincy.

3* Detroit....no write up

RANDALL THE HANDLE
Jacksonville @ Tennessee (SIA)

The Titans needed their week off from both a physical and mental aspect. They are now ready to get back to work and while they won’t sniff the playoffs, they do take pride in their craft and are determined to improve in second half of season. Tennessee has won six of the past seven in this match up while both of last year’s games were decided by a field goal. Look for a healthier Titans squad to battle here.

TAKE: Tennessee +4½ -1.05 (Risking 1.60 units to win 1.5).

NY Jets @ Denver (Pinnacle)

This sad New York bunch will travel for the fourth time in its past five games to face one of the league’s hottest and most balanced clubs. The Jets travel poorly, having yet to win on the road while being outscored by a lopsided 124-44. Denver has handled much better visitors than this one and should have little trouble trouncing an opponent that has a rookie quarterback and a hobbled running back.

TAKE: Denver –13 –1.05 (Risking 1.60 units to win 1.5).

Kansas City @ Houston (SIA)

Despite a winning record, the Chiefs have not looked particularly sharp for most of this campaign. Star TE Tony Gonzalez has just one touchdown reception this season while defensively, Kansas City ranks a disappointing 26th. The Texans aren’t a formidable bunch but they’ve been a bit better recently. Houston will be at home in front of a national audience against a visitor playing their fourth road game in five weeks. TAKE: Houston +7 (Risking 1.65 units to win 1.5).

Winning Systems
Carolina -3 @ Chicago
Play: Chicago +3

I'm going to ride the Bears again. This time as a small play, or a lean.
I've been backing Carolina a lot this season too, but this time around I'm
going with the value. This week the Bears have no redzone edge, as they are
virtually tied in that departement with Carolina. Probably two of the best
redzone teams this season. But they do have better defense and especially
better running game on both ends of the field. Actually their running edge
is ranked #2 this week. They are playing at home, in a rather cold weather,
and I just have to take the points here. Carolina played all of their games
this season at temperatures of 70 or higher. This Sunday they will be
playing at 45 and in those conditions (+ possibility of strong winds) I
favor a better running team over a better passing team, and that team is
Chicago. CAR center Michell is banged up and questionnable for this
game.Chicago wasn't impressive at all last week vs the 49ers but hey,
Carolina played the hopeless Jets and 23 of their 30 pts have been scored
off of NYJ turnovers !

Play against teams that have been outrushed, passed for 180-yards in
previous game, if they won it by double digits and the opponent had 4
turnovers or more: 28-7 ATS L15Y (Play on Chicago)

Play on dogs that rushed for 170+ yds in two straight games: 35-19-2 ATS
L15Y (Play on Chicago)

If they also outpassed their previous opp: 15-4 SU and 16-3 ATS. (Play on
Chicago)

Since '98, the dog is 9-0-1 ATS in the battles of teams on 4+game winning
streaks in weeks 5 or later. (Play on Chicago)

Play on home dogs after winning by 7+, opp. of win and cover: 48-26 ATS L20Y
(Play on Chicago).
