i think i will continue my "goofy way of betting", why not? it does not make sense, but it has been winning, so i will continue until it does not.

washington +162 vs atlanta (3 units)..................atlanta coming off that 4 game sweep at home vs arizona, wow! my old way of thinking would be no way they lose again at home , especially to a team like washington. i we get hudson pitching to boot. should be an easy winner, but it won't. that is why i am taking washington.

phillies +163 vs arizona (3 units)..............again, back to my old way of thinking. zona goes to atlanta, sweeps them, now comes home to play the phils. we get webb pitching like he is cy young. THIS IS JUST ABOUT A LOCK, i should load up on arizona. wrong, the old me would be all over arizona in this one. the new me will take the team that does not appear to have much of a chance. give me the phillies.


the above three unit plays don't really appear to have much of a shot to me, but bases have been goofy this year. i only need one for a profit.

cincinnati +111 vs st louis (2 units)..............again, the old me says st louis, at home, at these odds....time to load up. the new me says don't be a sucker.

mets +111 vs dodgers (2 units).........i have been waiting for the mets to start losing some all year long. they seem to be struggling a little bit now, so i would start going against them right about now, especially playing at the dogers. dodgers at home offers some value tonight.. it don't make sense, but give me the mets.

over 9 (+108) boston/yankees (1 unit)............this has under written all over it. beckett vs mussina, how could this not be a 3-2 type of game? it won't be. not falling for it.

over 8.5 (-111) phillies/arizona (1 unit)...........the way webb is pitching and cory lidle has pitched decent ball his last few outings too. don't see webb giving up more than 2 or 3 here, should be an easy under. phils probably light him up tonight.

that is all. go ahead and call me goofy, i don't care. it has been a goofy season, and i need to think goofy to win.

sorry about messsing with your head. i am messing with my own head. this goofy system of mine is just about goofy enough to win. i have never had a season where i just cannot pick winners like this year, so i am going to continue with this even though it makes no sense at all. i just know that i cut my units from over 40 to under 16. i don't blame people for not wanting to read my post right now but if i were betting usual thoughts i would be down probably over 60 units right now. i know that this will not continue, and maybe i am getting lucky, but i am going to ride it until it ends.
