whether i am getting lucky or just due, or i am on to something, i don't know. all i know is my goofy reasoning for making my picks is working, at least for now. no reason to stop now. all i know is going into last friday i was down 40.05 units and now i am under 16 units. i guess one of the reasons this is working is i have mostly played favorites this year and have lost. my new goofy sysytem seems to be alot of dogs and they can add up real quick when you win. today makes me more nervous for some reason, probably because i am due to lose with these riduculous picks, but here it goes.


washington +157 vs atlanta (3 units)...............here we go again....old way of thinking, no way braves lose again, should have never lost last night, braves way too good to keep losing at home, losing streak ends tonight. this should be a real solid pick. ramirez has been solid recently. washington playing over their heads right now. braves due to blow somebody out. of course that all sounds like a lock, you know what happens with locks. washington worth a shot at this big a dog.

arizona -106 vs phillies (3 units)..............i love cole hamels, he is going to be a great pitcher, maybe this year. phils just won vs webb last night, so this should be easy. hamels has looked pretty solid his first two starts but does not have a win to show for it. hamels should come out and get his first win, while phils bats are looking forward to not facing webb tonight. phils should win easily behind hamels. should happen, won't happen. hamels probably get lit up and the pitcher for arizona will throw a great game. yeah i know, i am goofy. that is ok though.

la dodgers +131 vs mets (2 units).............mets just will not go on a losing streak, now we get pedro pitching. he is almost an automatic play for me. pedro + mets offense usually equals a win. got to love pedro anytime he is not a big favorite. with all that being said.....yeah, you know the rest.....i am on the dodgers.

tampa bay -123 vs angels (2 units)..............tampa bay a favorite? you have got to be kidding. tampa bay sucks. angels have alot of talent and we can get them as a dog. this is as good as gold. usually i would be all over the angels as a dog and then be sick later that night wondering how they lost to a team like tampa bay. not this time.

under 11 (+107) boston/yankees (1 unit)...............last night in what should have been a pitchers duel ended up very high scoring. if these two teams lit it up last night with mussina and becket, just imagine how many they will score with these two yo-yo's throwing. i can see a 9-8 type of game, of course that means it will be 3-2. i am taking the under.

cincinnati +167 vs st louis (1 unit)...........the cards just don't lose too many at home. they blew last nights game in the ninth inning. no way they lose again to these reds with their ace carptenter on the hill tonight. it looks like i should be putting about 5 units on the cards, it can't lose. did i say it can't lose? sure it can.


there you go, six more goofy picks. i know since i started these goofy picks last friday, i have been scared to death thinking i am going to get killed. sometimes the scariest picks are the best ones.
