Default thursday bases

0-6 (-12.98 units) yesterday
142-164 (-38.89 units) overall

i have come to the conclusion that this is just not my year. i just cannot put a winning streak together. for every winning streak that i have had, i followed it up with an equal or worse losing streak. this is probably a mistake, but i am going to scrap my "goofy sysytem" and go back to the way i used to cap games.

football is starting to look better to me all the time. even though i have sucked this year, i don't feel horrible. there are alot of good cappers out there who are suffering through this baseball season. i don't know what makes this year so tough, but it has been.

white sox -182 vs pittsburgh (3 units).................i am sick of tired taking the pathetic pirates. The guy pitching for the sox today, Contreras, has got to be the best pitcher in baseball right now. he just does not lose. i just don't see how the bucs are going to get to him. the only thing that might keep this game close is zach duke pitching for the pirates, but even he has struggled this year. this is a solid pick.

toronto -220 vs washington (3 units)............i hate and hardly ever lay these kind of odds, but what can i tell you? i need some wins badly and games just don't get much easier than this. most of the time these are winners, but it only take a couple of losses to kill you playing this big a favorite. i am just hoping today is not that day. the jays can hit the ball we all know that, throw in a pitcher like Halladay and you have a winner. washington continues to struggle. this is almost a sure thing.

baltimore -131 vs phillies (2 units)..........i am a huge phillies fan and even though it pains me to say so, but the phillies are done, end of story. most of their pitching staff is hurt and the guys who are not are beating their wives. i cannot believe how many rookie pitchers we have had throwing for us. i have said it every year, if we stay healthy, we are as good as anybody in the nl east. we are just not healthy this year and now starting to have off the field problems. the phils mentally have got to be down after getting pounded in both games of the dh yesterday and then having to go to toronto next does not help. i would be not shocked if toronto sweeps us as well. at least we will miss Halladay as he pitches today.

cincinnati -245 vs kansas city (2 units)..........again, i hate laying these kinds of odds, but i am in desparate need of winning some units. this game really does not need an explanation does it?

mets +141 vs boston (2 units)............i know we are going against schilling but i cannot pass up the mets and glavine as a dog, plus the sox are due to lose a game. plus it is not like the mets suck or anything like that.

that is all today, no one unit plays for me. i think i have plenty on the line with those big favs. hope it is not a mistake.

football is around the corner and it cannot get here soon enogh for me. i have suffered as a phillies fan long enough this year. at least my dolphins should have a good year one would think.

good luck everybody!!

I agree with the Pale Hose today, I don't see where Duke Pitching is going to help Pitt today, yes he is 4-2 @ home but, carries an inflated 5.70 ERA and the Pale Hose hitting 2.84 as a team should feast on Duke today!!!

Yes Mark, it has been a bad year for many good cappers in MLB!!!

Mark, I could not see how a team with a 13 game losing streak could beat Contreras, but, they did and it was not a lack of runs, well it could have been. They only got 6 runs on 14 hits, not good!!!

We need to start betting the opposite way when we see something that looks that good.
