| 7.01 6-5 -$133 I'll update my total record sometime on Sunday. I can't figure out where I have an error as the numbers just don't add up right. Getting frustrated so I'll deal with it some other time. Sunday Plays $200 Boston +100 $250 Detroit -190 $200 Yankees -140 Only three afternoon games I'll be playing. I'll see where I'm at on the late ones. Good luck! |

| Update things a bit... Overall MLB Record 399-378-21 -$302 April 139-135-7 +$1435 May 163-146-10 +$886 June 91-92-4 -$2490 07.01 6-5 -$133 Money Line Plays 200-198 -$2249 118-107 -$3088 (favorites) 82-91 +$839 (dogs) Run Line Plays 65-81 +$714 87-59 +$1442 (Hypothetical if I would have taken the ML instead of RL) Totals 134-99-21 +$1233 91-57-15 +$2575 (Over) 43-42-6 -$1342 (Under) Sunday Plays $100 Toronto -225 (added) - I feel obligated to take Toronto and AJ Burnett. Aaron Flutz is making his first career start after 381 MLB career relief appearances. He pitched out of the pen on Friday night, so rotoworld is predicting he won't go much more than two or three innings in this matchup. Philly has a decent bullpen, but one would assume they'll be stretched a bit thin in this game. Burnett has come off the DL and has been impressive. His first start was a bit rocky, but over his last three he has a 2.37 ERA with a 0.947 WHIP, while Toronto has gone 3-0. Toronto has put up some monster numbers against lefty's, and I'm thinking if Flutz makes it through the order, the second time around is going to mean big trouble to him. Like most NL teams Philadelphia has struggled in interleague play going 4-12. 200 Boston +100 - Both Boston and Florida were very good teams in the month of June. Jon Lester had a nice start to his major league career as he's got a 2.95 ERA and a 1.453 WHIP. Boston is 3-1 in his starts. Josh Johnson has a 2.20 ERA and 1.275 WHIP on the season, while Florida is 6-4 in his starts. Both pitchers have pitched well in their last three starts, but are giving up too many walks for my liking. Johnson has a WHIP of 1.745, so he's allowing base runners but is able to get himself out of jams. In terms of starting pitching I actually give Jon Lester the edge. I think he has a bit better stuff and being a lefty he should be able to control Florida. Florida is only averaging 0.250 and has a 0.316 OBP. Boston meanwhile has been scoring 6.1 runs with a 0.301 AVG and a 0.378 WHIP against righties. Although Boston's ERA out of the pen is a bit higher, I would take it over Florida's in a heartbeat, as they don't walk nearly as many and they're more liable to keep a lead if given one. If Boston wants to win the AL East they have to take these series on the road against inferior competition. $250 Detroit -190 - Pittsburgh is only 2-10 on the season on get away Sunday, which plays a large part in their 6-22 record during day games. Ian Snell has a 5.40 ERA and a 1.561 WHIP in his last 3 starts (16.7 innings). He's only walked 4 in those starts, and hasn't allowed a home run. What has been happening is he's getting nickled and dimed to death allowing too many consecutive hits. Pittsburgh is 0-3 in those latest starts. Zach Miner has a 1.69 ERA with a 1.078 WHIP while the team has gone 3-0 in 21.3 innings of work. Yesterday's loss by Detroit is somewhat explained because they were facing a lefty. Everything just seemed to point that it was going to be a letdown day. Today they start another winning streak. $200 Yankees -140 - This play is based largely on the pitching matchup and situation. Randy Johnson looked like he was primed to be lit up yesterday. Today, it's Alay Soler's turn. He has a 7.05 ERA with a 1.892 WHIP as the Mets have gone 0-3 in his last three starts. Jaret Wright has a 3.37 ERA and a 1.312 WHIP while going 2-1. I think after having Johnson beat up on yesterday, the Yankees lineup is going to be teeing up and having some fun this evening. Milwaukee at Minnesota - Yesterday should have been the game the Brewers won in the series, but suspect defense and early middle relief walking in runs led to the Brewers downfall. It's almost impossible to bet against Liriano in this situation agains the Brewers offense. He has a 2.21 ERA and a 1.023 WHIP in 73.3 innings of work. The guys just been phenomenal as the Twins have gone 7-1 in his starts. Zach Jackson has a 4.70 ERA and a 1.565 WHIP on the season (23 innings). He makes guys hit the ball, but Minnesota's been hitting it well lately. I'd take Minnesota in a heartbeat, but two things are causing me to reconsider and lay off. The first is my personal situation. I took the Brewers the last two nights and loss. I take Minnesota today and I'll lose (they're in my head - lol). The second that makes a bit more sense is Minnesota's in ability to score runs against lefties. They're averaging 4.5 runs a game against lefties, while have Liriano on the mound should be enough. But between their lack of power on the season, and ability to get free passes on the bases against lefties, I could see some funny stuff happening in the game. Especially after watching all of the lost balls last night in the dome. Also you never know what you're going to get out of the Brewers bullpen. As for a total, I'm completely clueless today. I'd say under 8, but I don't have a real strong lean to either side. |

| hey man BOL today...dont see a lot out there on this cardi like...tor will win, but at -225 thats steep for me, i hate playing the RL esp w a lot of offense for toronto being out w rios and wells injured...in the sun night game i see lots of offense, an over is probable there, never been a fan of jaret wright and soler is erratic...id side w the mets but over prob a good play liriano should shut down ur brew crew, do u think jackson can keep the minny bats in check for an under?
