| Joe Torre, just showed why willie is a wanna be manager. Torre's pitcher didn't have it and he yanked him QUICK before the game got out of hand and well Willie he DIDN'T. END OF STORY!!! I told my cousin after the 2nd man in the bottom of the 3rd inning got on, it is time to get this kid Soler out of the game before he blows the lead. So what does WANNA BE WILLIE DO????? Leaves him in until it's 7-4 and the game is out of control. Is he BLIND????? I could see Soler was losing it early, he could not throw a strike to save his life and Oh Willie you have to give it to him boy, he sat on his ASS until it was wayyyyyyyyy tooooooo lateeeeeee!!!! If Willie is a manager in MLB, I am a BRAIN SURGEON!!!

| I forgot to say one thing, if the mets make the post season play it is not because of Willie. It's the superior athletes on the Mets team!!!

| eh you guys have it all wrong...willie did what he did by leaving soler in bc of the situation today...pedro is missing his start so the mets are going to have to use oliver or whoever today meaning their pen is gonna get used all game today, he wanted to try and leave soler in and get 4-5 innings so he could avoid having to use the long relief guys since they are going to be used today...was it the right move? who knows...he could have come taken soler out and oliver or whoever could have gotten pounded too...its just one game, if the mets win today no one will care about last nightsgame, unless u had money on it...

Neil, obviously you DID NOT watch the game. As I was just finishing typing this, Joe Morgan and John Miller were having a big discussion about the same thing I said, so I guess you need to call both of them and tell them that they too were wrong my friend!!!

| i did watch the game...and they thought willie left him in too long, but they didnt know the mets pitching situation..they even asked willie when they interviewed him about it and he said they considered bringing oliver in but since pedro was sitting today they preferred not to do that bc they needed him to start todays game against pitt if possible...in all reality it didnt matter bc they took soler out and bell got pounded anyways as did the rest of the staff...

| I bet if the Mets miss the playoffs by 1 loss he will have wished in many games he would have yanked a pitcher that was losing it. What do you have 8 or 9 releif pitchers in your bullpen for???? so they can watch another pitcher get pounded??? I still say WANNA BE WILLIE need another profession!!!

All he did was leave Soler in for 2 more out in the same inning and then pull him when the game was out of range. If he was so worried about Pitt why not just leave Soler in the game and not use Bell for 2 and 1/3 and Bradford for 1 inning and feliciano for 2 innings? why did he go and use 3 more pitchers out of the bullpen when he was worried about PITT I ask???? He was full of shit and DID NOT want to admit he screwed up on national TV. If he was so worried, why just use Bradford for 1 inning??? He got em out 1,2,3 and he could have save Feliciano and let Bradford finish the game. WANNA BE WILLIE did not want to admit on NATIONAL TV that he made a mistake. For a manager not wanting to use his bullpen he sure did do a good job of not using it I would say!!!
