ok, in the 2 early games im going w the mets and the red sox....in the mets game both el duque and hudson have struggled early in games so wouldnt be surprised to see 1st inning runs being scored there, mets have the better offense and bullpen to back duque if he gets roughed up...no chipper jones for atl, the trade of betemit leaves pete orr starting in his place, thats a nbig loss of offense in the braves lineup, mets will find a way to win this game behind the bats of reyes, wright, delgado and beltran.

bos/laa is intriguing bc it pits one of the best home pitches in beckett vs the dominant phenom in weaver....yet to lose a start at 7-0 with a 1.15 era and a whip under 1, he is definately drawing some attention...the bottom line is, he hasnt faced an offense like bostons, and boston rarely loses at home, especially behind beckett....like beckett's home splits and his day splits, ill take the low line on the al east leaders.
