I cannot believe the phillies swept the marlins yessterday. I almost got back on here and was going to up my units on florida after the (fighting or fading phils), I don't know which anymore. won game one of the doubleheader...good thing I did not. I said before that these phillies just do not make sense at all. They start the process of giving the team away and they start winning. You just need to go the opposite of how you think they are going to do.


florida +107 vs phillies (3 units)..............Only afternoon game today and it is my phillies and i am off work and plan on watching it. Ok, now I am a believer again in the phillies. They are winning and I expect them to continue winning. THAT IS WHY I AM TAKING THE FISH TODAY. The phils should just about be a lock today. We got Lieber, who is supposed to be our ace pitching against florida who is all of a sudden not hitting the ball so well and the phils and chase utely and ryan howard are pounding the ball. The phils are only a small favorite. This has just got to be to good to be true. I fully expect another phillies win today, but then again these are the phillies and they usually do the opposite of what you think they are going to do. Give me the fish.

arizona -119 vs cubs (3 units).............I love free money. Webb (11-4, 2.64) vs Prior (0-4, 6.60). A great up and coming pitcher vs one of the most over rated pitchers in the history of the game. He cannot even stay healthy for two straight weeks. Yes his last outing was a great one, but trust me when I tell you it was a fluke. Throw in the fact that the cubs just cannot hit anybody let alone a guy like webb and you have a real solid pick today. This line is only 119 because people still think Prior can pitch. The hardest thing for me to do today conerning this game is thinking all day about what I am going to buy with my winnings.

boston -125 vs cleveland (3 units)...........For starters, anytime you can get the redsox at home as this small a favorite it is worth a shot. You know the sox can hit the ball. I am going with a little history in this one. I know David Wells is probably not the pitcher he once was and he is coming of the dl. Wells is 20-4 with a 3.52 ERA against Cleveland in his career and is 18-12 with a 4.40 ERA at Fenway in his career, this is the reason I am taking him today. Even if he does not pitch real well, the sox bats can always bail him out. In my opinion, there is just a ton of value in this play today.

I think I am just going to make all three plays for three units today again. This formula has worked for me. I have looked real hard at the other games, but I just cannot pull the trigger on some of those big favs. White Sox and Tigers look tempting, but I don't want to lay that juice on the road.

Good Luck everybody!! Last day for trades in mlb....can't wait to see what happens. Who else are the phillies going to five away. I have heard talk about Lieber, but he is pitching today. Should be a fun day.

GL man, i have to disagree w you about thinking philly is a lock today...lieber is supposed to be ur best pitcher but his numbers arent very good, whereas johnsons numbers are lights out...he has been the marlins most consistent pitcher and best by far, i think fla should be favored in this one and like them as the dog, so ur bet should be a good one

also boston lightly favored at home usually is a good one to take, but its tough to back an older pitcher off the DL, who knows how long he will go and boston's pen is brual...wells is always a pitcher who gives up hits so i expect clev to put a lot of runners on base and make wells throw a high pitch count, dont think he last more than 5 innings today.

i do like AZ against the cubs, prior was good vs the mets but other than that he has been crap going up against webb who has been on of the best pitchers from day 1....

I agree Wig and not to mention a BAD BULLPEN, but Cleveland has to be one of the worst in the Major leagues. Besides, how can you back a team that is 5-11 since the all-star break ON THE ROAD????? Cleveland is trash!!!

I know one thing, if I had not overslept this morning, I would have bet Florida. Johnson's stats are a lot better than Leibers. I do beleive you made a winning wager with Florida. BOL today!!!
