Default wednesday bases

3-3 (-2.70 units) yesterday
103-82 (+26.18 units) overall

Went 3-3 last night, but dropped both three unit plays. That has very rarely happened to me since the allstar break. I am not complaining though as I am having a very good second half of the season. Missed the day games today and it might be a good thing. I did like the pirates and they are headed to extra innings as I type this and I have been riding the dodgers and they are down 4-0 in the first inning. Sometimes it pays to be lucky as well like me missing those early games. Here is what is left for tonight.

ny mets -107 vs phillies (3 units)...............I have been on the mets the first two games of this series and lost them both. I just don't see the phils, even as well as they are hitting the ball, taking a third straight. Mets have Glavine to try and stop the bleeding. He is already 2-0 vs the phils this year and owns a pretty good lifetime record vs them. John Lieber has been getting lit up at home this year and the mets are due to bust out. I think it happens tonight.

cincinnati +131 vs st louis (3 units).............I am going to follow up another one of my three unit losers last night with the same team again tonight. Just because the cards won last night does not mean they are out of their slump at all. The reds have Arroyo throwing. He has slowed down in the second half but is still a pretty decent pitcher. At least the reds do not have to face the cards ace tonight, so this should seem easier to them. Reds worth a shot as a dog. This is a very important game if they want to have any shot at the division title.

My next two plays are for two units each. I really like the favs in these two, but I am not laying such a big price, so I am playing the runlines in what SHOULD BE a blowout, but you never know.

white sox -1.5 (-133) vs kansas city...........I don't know how the royals won last night, but what are the odds of such a horrible road team winning two in a row at the hot whitesox. Contreras is 2-0 with a 1.93 era vs kc this year and he is lifetime 7-0 against them. Those are pretty solid numbers that I am not going against.

oakland -1.5 (+118) vs seattle...........Oakland has played very well vs seattle this year and there is no reason to think they will not win again tonight. Haren is also 2-0 with an era of 1.93 this year vs seattle. Haren is also in his last three starts 3-0 with an era of 1.57. Again, real solid numbers.

arizona +107 vs colorado (1 unit)..................I have always been a Livan Hernandez fan and I think him going to a new team gives him a fresh start and we might see the old Hernandez come back. I really think this will be a close game decided in the late innings. Just a gut feeling arizona goes into colorado and pulls one out.

san diego -104 vs san fran (1 unit).............another gut feeling here. giants, who I cannot stand, not that it has anything to do with it, have won the first two of this series. I just feels the padres win this one at home. Like I said, just a gut feeling in this one.

That is all for today. Good Luck Everybody!!

BOL Mark, I had the Pale Hose night before last on the RUNLINE -1.5 and -125 (they were my BEST BET) and won 12-2. Yesterday I saw a sports service had The W. Sox as their GOY and I smelled something fishy and layed off. Well KC stepped on them 4-2 and the Sox were -270 and runline -145 and I could not lay that if I had liked em'. Well tonight I like them again and will bet em' just don't know for how much right now.

I have been on Oakland for a day or 2 in the last 3 days and I can't help but, like them tonight again!!!

I looked at the Mets and they are only averaging 2.8 runs per game over the last 5 games and Philly in averaging 8.4 points per game over the last 5, so I'll just sit and watch this one, Philly is knocking the cover off of the ball and the Mets could not hit the red side of a green barn!!!

BOL with that wager.
