Default LA/NY Series Bet

Due to El Duque and Pedro being out, I think the Dodgers win this series and will make a small wager on it.

LA Dodgers win series 3-1 +400........1*

If Glavine does not win his outing, then the Mets have no shot IMO.

LA is red hot coming into this series and the Mets will have to put up some big runs all series long to win.

The Mets will have to win like they did tonight, all throughout the playoffs. I just don't see it happening.

everyone relax about the mets...u forget how good their offense is...and they have the best pullpen in the nl...glavine and trachsel will be workhorses and go 6 or more innings...they got the win w maine pitching yest, glavine will be solid today and win..then they will just need 1 game out of 3...mets win this series 3-1 imo, wouldnt be surprised to see 3-0

I agree Pads and Dodgers are spent, and the Cards Dont have enough for the Mets unless they can throw Carpenter 7 games . Will see what happens when they stop letting Pujols hit the ball.

I wish I knew the Dodgers were depleted before I made this bet

It's really not the Mets playing that great, the Dodgers just look straight up deflated right now.

The Mets should have no problem getting to the series. The rest of the NL is just that bad.

the dodgers arent depleted...they were one of the hottest teams entering the postseason and had everyone playing...nomar wasnt 100% but he wasnt 100% the last few months and they were winning when he played and when he didnt...mets need to hang on here tho and end this in 3

Dodgers bats showed up tonight, but they will most likely lose anyway. Dodgers were hot coming in, but it's pretty obvious the air is out of the balloon.

If it wasn't for Kent and that rookie, the Dodgers would look like real shit.

ya no offense but mets to win the series was a no brainer...i didnt think they would sweep i thought they would win in 4 but no complaints here....they got the best of both worlds, they won in 3, so they get rest, and stl has to pitch carpenter in game 4 tonight so even if they win he wont start till prob game 3 hehe

The dodger series suprised me. What I don't understand, why in the Hell did they start Kuo in game two and let Penny just sit there through this series. The Dodgers have an All-Star pitcher and the don't use him in the post season wtf. I know wanting to save some pitchers for home but to let your Ace sit is bullshit. Still boggled over it.

The point of the matter is the Dodgers were a very avarage team playing in a very weak NL West division this year. It really showed in this series. Nomar being hurt didn't help. Lofton and Furcal were both horrible all series long and it was LA's doom. LA was a hot team during the end of the season just to be in the playoffs, you can't stay hot all the time, especially against a good team as the Mets. The ship sunk at the wrong time for the Dodgers, resulting in an easy sweep for the Mets and thier avarage pitching.

I think the Cards will give the Mets a little challenge, but I see Mets in 5-6. unless the Cards bats come out hot, which I don't see happening, even against the weak starting pitching of the Mets.

I do think the Mets are in a real jam however, when they face either Detroit or Oakland in the Series. Both teams have a better pitching rotation right now.

I think it will be Detroit and the Mets in the series with Detroit ousting both NY teams and wins it all in 6
