| one unit (60-51) (+0.46 units) two unit (32-22) (+11.04 units) overall (92-73) (+11.50 units) above is my record with all of thursdays plays still pending. have a long day friday, so here are fridays picks. two unit plays atlanta -175 vs phillies..........hate laying this steep of odds, but smoltz has been great so far this year. his win/loss record might not show it, but his era does. cory lidle has been consistent for the phils, but i get the feeling the braves light him up friday night. one unit plays boston +145 vs yanks............in this series anything is possible. randy johnson is only a shadow of his former self. tim wakefield is all or nothing it seems. i just like the chances of the sox winning this one at this price. florida +125 vs mets.............in my opinion, the marlins are the team to beat in the east. they are a home dog here. i don't care that martinez is pitching for the mets. alot of these big name pitchers are not what they used to be. martinez and the mets are certainly beatable at florida. that is is for friday night. braves pound phils and one of those two dogs will come in giving me a winning night. who knows, i might get lucky and both dogs come in. hope to be back saturday night with my sunday picks. sucks working all weekend. good luck everybody!! |

| BOL on the plays Mark. I like your thinking about the pitchers not being what they used to be and the books just continue to make most of them a high fav most of the time. There are solid young guys these days and any of these pitchers can get beats at anytime. I dont like betting against the Phils, but I probably wouldnt bet the Braves anyway. Smoltz has been good this year but i think he fits into the category you are talking about with the pitchers. I think Smoltz has lost a couple saves vs the Phils in the last couple years also. | GL w the plays. Be careful w fla, i know the mets are struggling right now but pedro dominated FLA in florida already this yr, I think he gave up a run in the first inning and then was lights out through 7 and the mets won big.
