Free MLB Double Dogs "POD" Contest

The contest will be a Free $400 "POD" Play of the Day Double Dogs MLB Baseball contest consisting of moneylines & runlines. It will run for 30 days.

We will start the contest when we have 30 entries!

The Contest will take place HERE in this forum with a new thread everyday for selections. I will post the lines no later than 3 am EST time the day of the games. You must use these lines. If you use your own lines, the play for that day will not count. Please put the line next to your selection for easier grading purposes

* There are 2 requirements to enter and qualify for prizes:

1. You must sign up for a Free account at Wagerweb through this link. If you already have an account there then proceed to #2.

* The sign up for a Wagerweb account is Free to enter this contest, but consider posting up there. There book is rock solid and initial deposits get a 10% cash bonus with no minimum or maximum deposit as well every week a free prop play is offered for interested prop players. They have dimelines for baseball and a wide variety of other sports to bet on.

2. You must email me your first name and last initial OR account # at Wagerweb & your Sportscapper Island username, so I know who is verified into the contest and who will be eligible for the prizes. You can email me on the "contact us page" or at sportsc@sportscapperisland.com

The prizes are as followed : 1st place is $200 - 2nd place is $125 - 3rd place is $75. All prize money will be put into your Wagerweb account with a 10x rollover before a withdrawl can be made.

Contest Rules and Breakdown:

1. POD "Play of the Day" meaning your strongest play of the day. All Plays are "action". No pitchers are specified, although I will post the pitcher in with the lines to give you an idea of who is pitching. Once the contest threads are opened with the lines, you are welcome to post your selection in that thread.

2. You will have a choice to make either a regular moneyline side or a RL "runline" selection each day. The catch is that anything over +130 dogs or runlines will get doubled up if you win. Meaning a +130 selection or over will get credit for double for the day. ex. +130=+260, +140=+280 and so on.

3. Everyday the contest will be tracked and graded as if you win a $100 on a fav and layed a 100 on a dog, but a dog win +130 and over will be doubled. Meaning if you picked a team that was -175 and lost you would get -175 for the day, but if you won you would get +100 for the day. The dogs are a little different. If you picked a team that was +120 for the day and won you would get +120 for the day, if you lose you would get -100 for the day. Any team that you select thats over +130 will get doubled for the day if you win, if you lose its just simply -100.

4. You must make a mininum of 20 selections out of 30( 1 play per day only!) to qualify for the prizes. This goes for rainouts and cancellations also!

5. No editing of posts in the daily contest threads. If you want to stratch a play, post again with your new play and mention that you stratched your old one. Same applies for rainouts and cancellations. Editing at any time or making a play after the game has started will result in an automatic lose for the day.

6. There will be an updated contest standings thread everyday.

7. The last 3 days of the contest, all selections will be emailed to me and I will update the standings after the games are over for them 3 days.

8. If there is a tie for any of the places at the end of the contest, I will come up with a tiebreaker when the time comes.

Everyone should get into this contest if you know baseball or not. This will be real fun, the more that participate, the more competitive it will turn out to be! Its a free contest and you have nothing to lose! This contest will benefit everyone, just ride the hot hands!!

Hey ns03,

There is no desposit required to get into the contest. If you want to thats your choice. You just have to simply sign up for an account there, no deposit required. If you get there and look around and want to, by all means do so, they are a solid book.

You would just have to rollover the contest prize money, not the money you would already have in there.

Its just the prize money. I bet almost everyone has rolled over 10x their money without even blinking. Is your goal at any bookie to make 1 bet and then cash out? Or to hopefully build up a bankroll and make a nice little run and have fun with it? There has to be 1 stipulation about the Free prize money and that is it.

yeah tommy, i am with you on this. i know ppl are probably busy but everytime i've been in the mlb forum ive seen a ton of heads looking in the mlb forum as well. i have no idea why they are skipping the threads about the contest or just simply do not enter. i thought ppl wanted FREE contests and chances to win $$. If you guys do not like this contest please let BIG or myself know why so in the future we can try to create contests you would like to be involved in because it doesn't do anyone any good if we spend the time getting the contest together and then no one signs up.

I have come up with a conclusion. I will start the contest when there are 30 entries. Anything less than that it wont be competitive. I want this to be a fun contest for everyone and for it to be worth it.
