Jake Peavy is back on the mound tonight and look out! The San Diego hurler is back after his last sensational outing against Arizona. San Diego lost the game 3-2 but it was not for lack of effort on Peavy's part. The bullpen was the culprit.
Peavy blanked the Diamondbacks over seven innings giving up just two hits.
He also struck out nine in a row, sixteen for the night.
Tonight Peavy returns against the Washington Nationals. He is currently 3-0 with a 1.95 ERA.
