Everything about this line has struck me as odd. It is obvious the books believe the Mets have a great shot at the + money here with this opening line they posted, especially considering how well Carlos has thrown recently. This game has since been bet up which will give us even more value with the Mets. Victor Zambrano (5-9, 4.19) has hit a tough stretch but prior to that he had allowed three runs or less in 13 straight starts from April 30-July 16. Over his last three he has been smacked around but the Cubs have not exactly been smoking the ball the last week scoring 3.1 RPG and hitting just .239. The Cubs will ask Carlos Zambrano to be flawless again. Suprisingly for as well as he has thrown the Cubs are just 6-6 behind him on the road. The Cubs have been a poor favorite play this season. CHICAGO CUBS are 31-34 (-16.8 Units) against the money line as a favorite of -110 or higher this season. The average score was CHICAGO CUBS 4.4, OPPONENT 4.2. Here is a nice situational trend I like as well. Play Against - All teams with a money line of -100 to -150 (CHICAGO CUBS) - starting a pitcher who gave up no earned runs last outing, cold hitting team - batting .240 or worse over their last 10 games. (73-34 over the last 5 seasons.) (68.2%, +48.8 units.).

Tigers/Blue Jays Over 9.5 Even Douglass/McGowan Listed.

Blue Jays staff having a rough time and McGowan not likely to give them much more than 5 IP. Douglass not getting past the 5th on the road either and the Tigers bullpen has and ERA well over 5 their last 7 games. Offensive momentum continues Tuesday in this series.
