| Overall MLB Record 155-153-7 +$1228 April 139-135-7 +$1435 05.01 6-11 -$232 05.02 10-7 +$25 Money Line Plays 64-60 +$1254 29-24 +$214 (favorites) 35-36 +$1040 (dogs) Run Line Plays 37-51 -$20 51-37 +$220 (Hypothetical if I would have taken the ML instead of RL) Totals 55-42-7 -$6(o&u) 15-12-3 +$10 (Under) 40-30-4 -$16 (Over) Brewers Record 25-12-4 +$1603 (combined) 11-9-3 +543 (sides) 16-4-1 +$1060 (totals) I don't know how I ever got into the positive side last night. I thought I was going to be down about $800 or more and then Baltimore put the total over, Colorado/Atlanta got a few late runs, Minnesota held on to the under, and Arizona made a hell of a comeback to get me the RL and ML in their game. Was one of those nights when the games don't go your way you look back on and realize they even out. WEDNESDAY NIGHT Florida at Washington -160 (8) Don't really like this matchup. Moehler has been horrible this year and Armas has been pretty dang good. Personally I think Washington wins the game by 1, so I'm not taking the RL in this case. I keep thinking the numbers point towards an under, but I think Armas is going to get into some trouble in this game. What I would play, but won't is Washington ML and the over. Atlanta at Philadelphia -110 (8) Smoltz seems to be one of the few old guys that isn't doing it this year. He's put up decent numbers for a #3 pitcher or so, but his teams win/loss record just isn't there. Myers has been pretty steady himself this year, but nothing too spectacular. Both teams are coming off of three game winning streaks, but on the year Atlanta is only 6-9 on the road. I'll take the younger pitcher and the Philly lineup. PLAYS $50 Philly RL +185 $50 Philly -110 $100 Philly/Atlanta OVER 8 Pittsburgh at Mets -300 (7) Snell vs Pedro... Pirates have two wins on the road all year. Looks like a no brainer? For the most part I think it is. Although, look at yesterday when Sheets loss against a pitcher just getting called up from AAA. You never know what will happen. The way I'm looking at this is I think the Mets would win this game at least 3 out of 4 times (what you'd need to be to be even). I also think the Mets can win this game by 2 more than 60% of the time they'd play. Don't like taking these big favorties, but value wise I think it's a decent play. I'd also think the total is about perfect on this game. Think something along the lines of 5-2 Mets. PLAYS $150 Mets RL -135 San Francisco at Milwaukee -115 (9 -130) This is going to be a good matchup between these two games. Jason Schmidt versus Dave Bush in this game. Most SF players have never seen Dave Bush go before. Schmidt I think still can be dominate. I think Milwaukee wins this game late off of SF relievers in a 3-2 type game. Ned Yost has said for the last week, he'll be challenging Bonds, and the way Bill Hall and some of the Brewers are hitting this past 10 days, I can see a few solo home runs. PLAYS $75 Brewers -115 $200 Brewers/San Francisco under 9 St. Louis at Houston -150 (8) Not sure how I feel about this matchup. St. Louis has lost a pair of tough games against Cincinnati, and Houston split two games at Milwaukee. Roy Oswalt is a dominate pitcher but I'm concerned about consistant hitting and the middle relief holding up. I think Oswalt can go deep into a game though, so that should be too much of a worry. I'm not going to make a play on this game, but I'm thinking Houston and the over. Cincinnati at Colorado -110 (11.5) Claussen/Francis... does the pitching matchup matter as much in Colorado? I'm wondering if both teams will put this game over the total themselves. It's also hard not to take the team that keeps on winning. PLAYS $250 OVER 11.5 $100 Cincinnati even Chicago Cubs -115 at Arizona (9) I'm not really sure if I understand the line/movement in this game. Opened at -120 Cubs? and more money is going on Zona that it's down to -115? With Maddux against Batista? What the heck is it I'm missing?!? Maybe it's not April anymore and Maddux might pitch like he's 50 instead of of 30, but I want to see that first. Don't have a good feel on a total in this game, but I'd say take the under. PLAYS $150 Cubs -115 $100 Cubs RL +130 San Diego at Dodgers -115 (7.5) We need to find a Dodgers expert on these boards because time and time again I'm chasing/doubling up on west coast games, and I don't have a clue in their games. Personally I like San Diego +105 in this game, and I'd take the over, just because neither pitcher is very good, but with the ways the offenses have been going, it's tough to take an over. I'll be back around 6pm eastern time with the American League plays. Need to get a couple things done around the house here and make something to eat. P.S. I have a $100 on the Bucks +12 (early 6pm eastern start) |

| Nick, I am with you on the Cubs and Maddux, I have bet him the last 3 times he has pitched and got the money. I good thing about it is, I can win several as long as he wins and only lose ONCE. I can't pass Maddux up at -115, all I can say is beat me. I read that Maddux is like 1-8 lifetime vs Arizona, that may come into play, but, then it may not. BOL !!!!

| Yeah I agree with you Fondy. Go with what is working until it stops with the Maddux play. I also like the Phils. The bats have come alive recently and I hope they are turning the corner to compete with the Mets now Good value play there. BOL tonight bro! |

| Toronto at Boston -110 (9) Hell of a matchup in this game. Halladay versus Beckett. I'm not sold on Beckett being a big game pitcher though. After having the rain out yesterday, and the anti-climax of not facing the Yankees, I'm leaning towards Toronto. Not worried about the Toronto bullpen as I think Roy goes deep into the game. PLAYS $75 Toronto even $50 Boston/Toronto under 9 Angels at Detroit -140 (8.5) Detroit has been en fuego. Angels can't seem to hit for shit this season, and I'm not really sure why. Add on the top of that that Weaver is a piece of crap, and you have to like Detroit and the over. PLAYS $100 Detroit RL +150 $50 Det/LAA OVER 8.5 New York Yankees -160 at Tampa Bay (10.5) There's hardly ever value on the yankees and today is no exception. Tampa Bay has done pretty well against the evil empire, but they haven't hit righties to save their lives, while NY thrives on lefty pitching. I'd lean towards the under in this game. PLAY $50 NYY -160 Seattle at Chicago White Sox -165 (9.5) This play is based strongly on trends. CWS is 13-2 against righties. When Freddie pitches the Sox are 4-1. Meche and Seattle have a losing record when he goes to the mound. Gil also has a whip of 2+ in his 3 starts on the road. ChiSox are 10-2 the last 3 years against Seattle. Seattle is 1-15 last 3 years as a road underdog of +150 to +175. I'd lean towards the under in this game. PLAY $200 Chicago White Sox -165 Baltimore at Texas -130 (10.5) What happened to Cabrera turning into a stud pitcher under grandpa Leo? He's struggled this year. He's got a 2.2 WHIP on the road, with a 6.3 ERA. In his career Cabrera is 1-2 versus Texas with a 8.16 ERA and 1.95 WHIP. Koronka has under a .923 WHIP at home, and a ERA of 3.86 in his last 3 games. Baltimore has a .214 average against lefties and I think they'll have some struggles tonight. PLAYS $150 Texas RL +150 $75 under 10.5 Kansas City at Minnesota -175 (9.5) This game is like watching two bad news bears teams. Start with a look at the two starting pitchers. KC's Joe Mays has an 11.07 ERA and 2.164 WHIP this season and Brad Radke is 8.89 ERA and 1.785 WHIP. KC hits .211 on the road and score a pathetic 2.6 runs a game. KC is 0-11 on the road this year. Minny has a .297 average at home and score 5.5 runs a game, where they're 7-4. Don't really no how much value there is in this game though. Would lean towards the under, but with these two pitchers it's hard to say, so I can't give a recommendation. I made a small play on Minny, but it's one of those I think I may regret. PLAY $50 Minnesota -175 Cleveland at Oakland -125 (9) I'm going to leave this game to see where I'm at about 30 minutes before the first pitch. |
