| 2-1 (+1.00 units) friday 71-73 (-13.96 units) overall another winning night, but my deficit from down 29.5 units to just under 14. think i will stick with my new format of 2 three units, 2 two units and 2 one unit plays. this has worked in my comeback, so i am going to stick with it. speaking as a phillies fan, what did you guys think of Cole Hamels last night? not bad for his debut in cincinnati. does anybody think the phils could have another steve (lefty) carlton? i was very impressed. he will be there new ace as early as next season. cleveland -138 vs detroit (3 units)............real nice pitching matchup here, but got to go with Sabathia at home. i have a gut feeling bonderman is due to get rocked and it will happen tonight. nice odds to get sabathia at home, thought it would be a little higher than this. cincinnati +113 vs phillies (3 units)...........reds facing lieber, not hamels tonight, that in itself makes this a play. lieber throwing better than he did, but he is still not himself this year. he is supposed to be their ace. i have gone against leiber most of this year and will do so for sure at cincinnati. reds can pound the ball and will light up him today. i cannot believe the reds are not the favorite today. phils remain hot with last nights win, but they are due for a couple of losses and losing at cincy is nothing to be ashamed off. mets -103 vs milwaukee (2 units)............a couple of unknown pitchers here, so i considered that a tossup. the rest of the mets team in better than milwuakee, especially on the offensive end. mets lost last night and won't lose two in a row to the brewers. atlanta -129 vs washington (2 units)............time for sosa to get his first win. not sure what is wrong with washington. i keep waiting for them to wake up and they won't. i know i have taken them enough times this year and they have contributed to my horrible start. it is the braves turn to string some wins together in the nl east. cubs -111 vs san diego (1 unit)...........pads are hot and the cubs bats, well they don't have any. i am counting on maddux pitching a gem today and the cubs winning a 2-1, 3-2 type of game. st louis -127 vs arizona (1 unit)...........pitching favors zona in this one, but i this marquis needs to come through if he wants to keep his spot in the cards rotation and he is due for a good game. even if he does not get the quality start, the cards always have the bats to outscore you too. no matter what, i find it hard to pass the cards up at home when they are a small favorite like this. feeling confident again, so i hope the good luck continues. my goal was to get myself under 10 units by the end of sunday.....it is within reach now. good luck everybody!! |

| Nice call on Hamels last night Mark. He looked good. 5 innings - 7 Ks and only 1 hit. His pitch count got high so they brung in Madson and the MF gives up 2 HR's the next inning, but oddly Madson gets the win and Hamels gets the no-decision. LOL Kick ass tonight bro |

He pitched great last night considering he was facing the #1 runs scored team in the league in thier park. 7K's and 1 hit through 5 innings.. He definitely has the stuff to be a dominate pitcher in the Majors.. Can't wait for his next outing ![]() | |
