| Brewers Record 30-19-6 +$1188 (combined) 12-13-4 +63 (sides) 18-6-2 +$1125 (totals) I'm not playing anything this weekend as I need some time off after getting a beating Tuesday and Wednesday, but I figured I'd give my thoughts on the Brewer/Mets game... FYI... I lost my last two totals on the Brewers. NY METS (22-13) at Milwaukee (18-18) 7:05 PM start time (eastern) Mets: -110 Brewers: +100 Total: 9.5 Starting Pitchers Jeremi Gonzalez - Boston fans will remember and love this guy (rolls eyes). Last year he pitched 56 innings with a 6.11 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP. Gonzalez had a 1-2 record and 3.74 ERA in six starts for Norfolk. Dana Eveland - The Brewers best hope to fight through the Ben Sheets and Tomo Ohka injuries. Eveland is a 22 year old lefty that kind of has come out of nowhere. He was selected in the 16th round of the 2002 draft. Last year in his major league debut he pitched strictly out of the bullpen. In 31.2 innings of work he ahd and ERA of 6.06 and a WHIP of 1.86. He also had an 18:23 BB:K ratio. He'll be a good pitcher in the majors some day in my opinion. I think he'll be a solid 12-15 game winning #3 pitcher, but nerves will get the better of him early in this one. He has opened this year 3-1 with a 0.75 ERA in six starts in AAA. My thoughts on this game is it's going to be a shootout. I think both teams will get a few runs in the first few innings and then cool off in the middle of the game before a team comes to win it at the end of the night. The Brewers have been firing on all cylinders lately at the plate. Prince Fielder had two home runs last night and has the 8th best batting average in the NL at .326. Carlos Lee has been crushing the ball and is second behind Pujols in the majors with 15 home runs (11 have come on the road). Both teams have average numbers in their splits. For trend people... 14 of the 15 games between these two teams have gone over the total the last 3 seasons. Mets are also 5-2 at Miller Park. What I would play? - HUGE ON THE OVER - Horse a piece on the side, I'd give the Brewers a slight edge though and would put on a small play. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I haven't looked at the rest of the card and I don't intend to. I think I'll start placing wagers again either tomorrow afternoon or Monday. |
