| Da Bulls +1 v Heat (6) u184.5 Heat v Bulls (2.5) Although both teams are coming into tonight on the back of 3 straight wins, and Heat on the back of a 9 game home winning streak, the matchup of the sides is more telling IMO in recent history with the Heat having lost all 3 games this season to the Bulls two teams have played both home and away. Bottom line, of all the teams in the East, Bulls are the Heat's worst matchup IMO as you have the oldest team in the conference up against one of the youngest and more athletics ones. The Bulls quick ball movement and perimter play will be the key IMO tonight, Heat simply are not equipped personnel wise to address it especially with their most athletic player out and this is why I will always bet on the Bulls in this matchup especially if it is a pk 'em game. Add to that Heat have also lost a 11PPG scorer in Kapono for tonight. BG is is on a tear at the moment as well for the Bulls and the team has it all to play for given their position and record in the East. Bulls are currently 5th in the conference, but because of the quirks of the playoff system they are only a game behind the Cavs getting the second seed. Don't think this is not lost on the players either, Gordon about the playoff standings, " We pay attention, we check it out every once in a while,' ''The coaches, they do a good job of updating us because they're looking at it every day. Our main focus is doing the things we can control to play better basketball.'' Why under? Not only have the Heat stiffened up defensively - this is playoff basketball 2 months early. |
