| 10-22 NFL Best Pick Record = 12-6 Strong Pick Record = 6-9 Regular Pick Record = 7-9 ---------------------------------------------------- San Diego @ Kansas City Best Pick = OVER 41 points The Chargers put up 48 points last week against the 49er's, and look to keep that going into this game. Kansas City got crushed in Pittsburgh last week, so look for their offense to redeem themselves and show that they're capable of scoring. LJ and LT both are way overdue for big a game this season as well. ---------------------------------------------------- Philadelphia @ Tampa Bay Best Pick = Philadelphia -5 The Eagles are coming off a tough loss to the Saints this week, and the Bucs are coming off their first win of the season. Tampa Bay's defense is starting to decline and I don't see Philly letting up one bit in this one. Donte Stalworth is also coming back after missing the last 2 games. Westbrook is also listed as probable. ---------------------------------------------------- Arizona @ Oakland Best Pick = Arizona -3 The Cardinals have got to still be fuming about their loss to the Bears on Monday night. What better team to take it out on then the worst team in the league. Matt Leinart looked pretty good, and will probably get some more opportunities to to make big plays in this one. Dennis Green is playing for his job and will all likely be fired if he does'nt finish with a winning record this year. If he loses to the Raiders, he might not even get the chance to even try. ---------------------------------------------------- San Diego @ Kansas City Strong Pick = San Diego -5 San Diego is easily one of the top 3 teams in the NFL this year. Philip Rivers is playing phenomonal this year. He's coming off a 334 yard game last week against San Fran. Ladanian Tomlison has been semi quiet this year and I look for him to have a big game against a K.C. defense that ranks 17th against the rush. Kansas City seem to have a chemistry problem as well. It's the complete opposite in San Diego. ---------------------------------------------------- New England @ Buffalo Strong Pick = New England -5 These two played in the first week of the season and New England just barely beat them 19-17. That was a different Patriots team then. Just when it looked like New England was going to fold, they now sit on a 4-1 record. The Patriots are coming off a bye week, which allowed Brady and this fairly new offense time to get in sync with each other. Buffalo live and die depending on McGahee's performance, and I believe their lack of a passing game, which is ranked 29th in the league, will kill them in this contest. ---------------------------------------------------- Detroit @ N.Y. Jets Strong Pick = OVER 41.5 Both of these teams defenses are pretty beat up, and Detriot just lost their pro bowl DT, Shaun Cody to a 4 game suspension. The Jets will want to rebound after an embarrasing 41-0 loss the Jags last week. Both teams rank at the bottom in defense, and both teams are highly capable of putting points on the board as well. ---------------------------------------------------- Carolina @ Cincinnati Strong Pick = Carolina +3.5 The injuries are finally starting to take its toll on the Bengals. They're playing without half of their starting offensive line. They also have some starters on defense out, and it seems the whole team is fairly banged up. To top it off, Chris Heny is still serving a 3 game suspension, which is huge because he demands attention, which makes it nearly impossible to double team their other two dynamic recievers. Carolina is on a 4 game winning streak and will should be oozing with confidence. Carson Palmer could be in for a long day against this beast of a defensive line. --------------------------------------------------- Jacksonville @ Houston Regular Pick = UNDER 40.5 Leftwitch is lifted as questionable in this game with a sore ankle. Even if he does play, they will want to keep him out of harms way to avoid further injury, therefore the running game could dominate in this one. I don't see Houston who is averaging just 14.4 PPG, having much success against a well rested Jags defense coming off a bye week. ---------------------------------------------------- Denver @ Cleveland Regular Pick = Denver -4.5 The Broncos are 4-1, and the Browns are 1-4, yet the Broncos are only favored by 4.5. This is largely due to their poor offensive production, although Denver, being a run first type of team, stacks up well against Cleveland, who ranks 23rd against the rush this season. Jake Plummer is probably hearing whispers as well about putting in 1st round pick QB, Jay Cutler as well. He should have an extra insentive to perform well, and playing against an average Cleveland defense presents a good opportunity to do so. ---------------------------------------------------- |
