Super Bowl Play

It was a good season and I'm upset we'll have to wait 8 months until September for more NFL Football.

Here's my Super Bowl pick....

Chicago Bears +6.5............1*

I have always agreed that defense wins championships. The Bears should be at full strength on defense. They have the corners to cover the wide-outs of the Colts Harrison and Wayne. I think the Bears will get pressure on Manning and cause him to make mistakes. Manning hasn't look dominate in the playoffs, but the Colts still survived. I think if Manning has another subpar game, they will not survive this one. I feel the Bears will run, run and run some more with Jones and Benson and control the clock. I know the Colts defense has been solid in the playoffs, but I try and not look at just the playoffs and take into consideration the whole year and the Colts were awful against the run. Manning got past the jinx to beat the Pats and get to the Super Bowl finally, but the jinx is still on for him not to win the big one.

I think the Bears win outright, but I'll take the 6 and a half. The Colts are definitely the public play and I feel the books will clean up on this farewell game of the NFL football season. I also have a habit of taking the dog in every Super Bowl for the last 10 years and it has worked pretty well.

Thanks Naught. Da Bears special teams and a couple of force Manning turnovers will be the difference. Chicago runs all over Indy like the Jags did earlier in the season.
