| Just some highlights to keep us in touch with my favorite sport. Cato June. Now belongs to Tampa Bay..Spent the last four years with Super Bowl Champs Indianapolis Colts. He just signed a deal with the Tampa Bay Bucs for three years, worth over twelve million. Last year he started all twenty games for the Colts. He had 162 tackles last year, a carrer high, he also had one sack and three interceptions.

| Philadelphia Eagles have signed running back Correll Buckhalter to a two year deal. Terms were not disclosed. Buck has spent most of his playing career injured, but knowing the Eagles they would not re- sign him if they did not know all is not OK now. He will back up Brian Westbrook and I look to see him playing much more this year. He can be impressive, and if he remains healthy, a definite plus to the Eagle backfield.

| Philadelphia Eagles signed former Ram Kevin Curtis to a deal worth $32 million over six years. It includes a signing bonus of $9.5 million in guaranteed money. Curtis will have his first opportunity to be a starter in the NFL, after playing behind Terry Holt and Issac Bruce in Saint Louis. What a sign for the Eagles!

| Cleveland signed Robaire Smith to a four year contract worth $12 million. He is coming from the Tennessee Titans and will play opposite Orpheus Roye. The Cleveland Browns also signed Shaun Smith after the Bengals declined to match a four year offer sheet for Smith. The Browns are trying to strengthen their defensive line and these moves will do exactly that.

| Ron Edwards is staying in Kansas City. He had looked at the Cleveland Browns but decided to stay with the Chiefs. He signed the deal with a four year contract worth between $7and $8 million. He is currently the only defensive lineman under contract.

| David Carr is out! Being the first franchise Quarterback in their history there has to be mixed emotions on both sides. Always liked his toughness and positive attitude during his time at Houston. I believe he will end up on top in the NFL if he is placed with a well rounded team. He could be a steal for someone. The number of times he got sacked in his time at Houston has to be a NFL record! He deserves another shot somewhere. UPDATE April 6 2007 Carr signed with the Carolina Panthers.

| The NFL has reported that former Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams has applied for reinstatement. The Miami Dolphins are mum on the application since Williams is still under suspension. Risky is coming off of his fourth suspension in the NFL. I give up, can't see anyone wanting him on their TEAM. However with the NFL ya never know.

| Philadelphia head coach Andy Reid recently returned to Eagle camp after taking time off to deal with family matters. Reid took a five week leave of absence earlier this year to tend to his sons legal problems. His son Garrett is charged with assault, drug possession and other misdemeanor charges after allegedly admitting to heroin use after a car accident. Police say he ran a red light, was speeding, caused an accident and injured a woman. His other son Britt is accused of brandishing a handgun at another motorist in a traffic dispute. He faces a felony charge of carrying a firearm without a license as well as misdemeanor charges of assault drug possession and making terroristic threats. Both Garrett 24 and Britt 21 were involved in separate traffic incidents on the same day in January. Both have pleaded not guilty.

| The Philadelphia Eagles signed free agent Ian Scott formerly of the Chicago Bears. Scott was signed to a one year deal. He was a fourth round pick by the Bears in 2003. He started the Super Bowl for the Bears this year. Last season Scott recorded 41 tackles in eighteen games. This is the second veteran defensive tackle the Eagles have signed. The Eagles signed Montae Reagor to a three year contract earlier this year. Reagor played for the Indianapolis Colts.

| Ron Jaworski was in town to promote his 23rd annual Ron Jaworski Celebrity Golf Challenge, hosted by Harrah's Casino and held at Atlantic City Country Club. His reaction to the Eagles taking Kevin Kolb was "I've been there"." When they drafted Randall,I sensed my football mortality more than ever." He went on to say that "the leash just got shorter for Donovan McNabb." The Eagles drafted University of Houston Kevin Kolb. Kolb was rated right behind JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn, by some draft analysts. Coming as the first pick by the Eagle brain trust has everyone wondering, none more than McNabb. Jaworski said, "I think this is a different situation than mine,we knew that we were not going to be a Super Bowl contender in 1985.The Eagles are going to be a Super bowl contender this year." "You have to look at Donovan's injury history. He has missed 25 percent of his starts the last two seasons. Availability is a big key in the NFL. You have to be in the lineup every single week." Should be another interesting year for the Eagles. Last season they brought in Jeff Garcia after Donovan got hurt. This year should it happen again, look for the start of the 'Kevin Kolb Era.' If Donovan stays healthy, the Eagles surely will be in the hunt for the Super Bowl Crown. If he does not it will be 'here we go again' for Eagle fans, but this time there will be no return for McNabb.

| Looking over some of my losses from last year and wow did I suck! I really did no homework and I paid the price. This year I hope to improve and end up in the plus column for a change. Here are a few standouts where I got totally destroyed. November, Dallas beats the Colts, Miami wins over Chicago. December, Houston beats the Colts, Miami shuts out New England 21-0,and Jacksonville destroys the Colts 44-17. I have a bad habit of betting parlays and teasers, and going with the favorite even when the line is huge. I also bet my Eagles come hell or high water, bet against the Cowboys no matter what and enjoy betting whatever is on TV just to have a bet on something. Now that I admit what I do wrong I promise to correct all, except the Eagle bets. Can't wait for the season to start, see if I can change my bad habits, hell I might just stop smoking and give up sex too!

| Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Johnson is a little worried about potential super star Jevon Kearse. Reports have Kearse around 30 pounds underweight, very close to the start of training camp. Kearse is blaming it all on his cardio-vascular work during the off season, to rehab his knee. Kearse is assuring everyone that he will be up to playing weight by the start of camp. But hold on here...........former Eagle linebacker Gary Cobb has a different take on the situation. Cobb is saying that Jevon has spent too much time at his Florida home "partying like a rock star" and "he is living like he is not playing football anymore". "Right now, from everything I've seen and heard, he's not ready to play football. Playing football in the trenches in the NFL requires a certain mentality, and I don't think Kearse is in a football mindset". "Believe me, I can tell by looking at Kearse that he hasn't been doing a thing down there in Florida," Cobb wrote. "The boys (Kearse's teammates) say he's got a collection of divas that will make your eyes pop out." I guess we shall see. Could be very interesting. Good Luck!

| Priest Holmes is ready to take Larry Johnsons money if Johnson does not sign. Priest who is 34 is at camp making waves to say the least. Even though the Chiefs will use him as a situational back, he is promising to give it a shot and compete with everyone. Michael Bennett and rookie Kolby Smith are currently taking all the snaps in camp. However, Holmes did put the pads on yesterday and took handoffs and a few hits from the coaching staff. Larry Johnson is being fined $14,000 per day as he sits out and waits to get the contract he wants. He is looking for LT money, around $28 million guaranteed. Holmes said "Somebody has to get the money." "Hey, if L.J. wants to leave the money out there, guess I'm going to take it. If he wants to come get it, it's rightfully his to take. He's earned it. But if he chooses not to come back, well, somebody has to take it. Why won't it be me?"
