Default Baltimore Ravens 2007

The Baltimore Ravens will be a contender once again this NFL season. Last year the Ravens lost to the Super Bowl Champs Indianapolis Colts in the divisional playoffs. This year they should return to the playoffs but with a good chance of different results.
They have traded away Jamal Lewis at running back but are installing Willis McGahee as their featured back with Mike Anderson to back him up.The defense returns with only one starter missing. The missing link will be Adalius Thomas but he will be replaced by his back up last year, Jaret Johnson.
The 2006 season saw the Raven defense record 60 sacks, lead the NFL in fewest points and yards allowed.
With a 13-3 record for the 06' season this year will be a challenge to improve on that record. Three games in a row could make or break the Raven season. Circle these games,Nov. 25 at San Diego Chargers,Dec.3 New England Patriots at home,Dec.9 Indianapolis Colts at home. All three teams currently have power rankings higher than the Ravens but by this stage of the season a lot could happen to change the scene.
Once again time will tell and injuries may spell the difference.
Interesting results from last year include the fact that the Ravens in their three losses were by a total of 18 points. They lost 13-3 at Denver,23-21 home against the Carolina Panthers and 13-7 at the Bengals. What a little more offense might have done!
I always look at Raven games to bet the under. In no less than 12 games the number was under 40. However I seem to sense that number to decrease this year,I really expect them to have a more fluid offense and the totals to be higher.
On a rare occasion I call it right and I will be keeping an eye on this early in the season. Football is fun to watch, great to bet and the Ravens always a favorite.

Good Luck!

I'm interested in know what are the basis for expecting those changes in the team. I'd like the Ravens to be able to accomplish more this year

Thnx

Default Re: Baltimore Ravens 2007

I'm an old Colts fan. So the Ravens and I have taken some time to connect. However still a Baltimore fan at heart.
Wishfull thinking, but I do believe that the receiving corps will be better,Heap will stay healthy and Williams will be the threat he is capable of being. Also believe the running game will be a 'different' dimension this year. I am looking for the offense to open up more this season and I will use caution on betting the under in Ravens game this season.

Good Luck! And you know being a an old Colts fan living right up the road in Pa. I am also a Penn State fan. Hope they both have a great season!
