i have been a dolphins fan my whole life. does anybody think that they won't suck and have a chance to make the playoffs?

consider this......

before ricky left, and for the last few seasons, they were a team considered by many to have a shot at the superbowl. ricky is back and what has changed? they still have a pretty good defense, which wins championships by the way, and they got rid of the worst coach in football in dave wannestadt. nick saben is a proven winner. i think qb is thier only question, and it is a big one.

the dolphins probably won't make the playoffs this year, but they are not as far away or as bad as most people think. they will upset some people this year. just don't be shocked if they give teams fits all year long.

what do you guys think about this? i would like to know.

I think Miami will be much improved this year. I think they even might squeeze into the playoffs. Even if they dont make the playoffs and have a mediocre year, I think there headed in the right direction by getting Saban.

Maybe P can chime in and talk about them because hes a huge Dolphins fan also

ok...miami has NO shot at the playoffs...consider the fact they are probably the worst team in their own division....the pats and jets are easily the top two teams there, and buffalo features a defense probably better than that of miami's and their offense is better, so long as Losman doesn't turn the ball over...Miami won't sniff the playoffs IMHO and not even sure they win 6 games.

They have always jumped out to fast starts and faded in the 2nd half, now they dont have Ricky to rely on in the first half, as he isnt gonna be in shape, nor will he be starting, and they won't get off to their quick start...i see a very long season in miami

GL on that play dave....IMO in that division itll be tough for them to win 6 games, simply because they at best will split the division games, which i doubt they even do that...but we shall see...not sold on saban as a HC in the NFL, its a tough transition from college to nfl....not comparing him to spurrier or butch davis, but those are just two examples of 2 great cfb coaches or couldnt hack it in the nfl
