Patriots Injury Update - Brady May have Sore Arm Wed Aug 10, 2005
The Boston Herald reports New England Patriots QB Tom Brady did not not make any throws during the team's portions of Tuesday's morning and afternoon practices. It's not known whether HC Bill Belichick was just getting the backups ready Friday or whether Brady was resting a sore arm. Despite missing a week, Belichick said not to rule out TE Ben Watson (unspecified injury) playing Friday in Cincinnati. Belichick said that Watson's current injury is not related to the knee surgery that knocked him out the final 15 games last season. Belichick once again insisted that all of the Pats' walking wounded -- WR/KR Bethel Johnson, RB/KR Chad Morton, CB Randall Gay, WR P.K. Sam, WR/KR Tim Dwight and DE/DT Ty Warren -- are nursing only minor injuries and are considered day-to-day. The Boston Globe adds OLB Willie McGinest practiced again Tuesday after making his camp debut Monday. Watson sat out practice again Tuesday and remains day-to-day. SS ety Rodney Harrison had the morning session off but practiced at night. Several Patriots took the evening session off: TE Christian Fauria, OLT Matt Light, CB Randall Gay, OLB Rosevelt Colvin, OLB Tully Banta-Cain, DE/DT Ty Warren, DT Santonio Thomas, TE Daniel Graham, and LB Ryan Claridge. |
