49ers Injury Update

The San Francisco 49ers official website reports with starting OLG Justin Smiley day-to-day with a calf injury he suffered in Saturday’s scrimmage, the 49ers could be entering Saturday’s preseason contest against the Oakland Raiders with only one of their starters playing at their expected position. That would be ORT Kwame Harris, who was moved over from left tackle after the team signed OT Jonas Jennings in free agency this off-season. WR Brandon Lloyd also was held out of the morning practice after his back tightened up. HC Mike Nolan said he expects him back for Wednesday’s practice. FB Steve Bush (shoulder), CB Randee Drew (foot), RB Frank Gore (shoulder), OT Jonas Jennings (finger), S Arnold Parker (shoulder) and CB Shawntae Spencer (hamstring) remain out of practice. C Jeremy Newberry (knee), OG David Bass (hamstring) and WR Derrick Hamilton (knee) remain out of action.
