MOST OF THE KEY PLAYERS THAT ARE OUT IS ON THE DEFENSE SIDE.... THE ? IS WILL THE YOUNG QB SCORE MORE WITH NO DEFENSE TO STOP THEM IN THE RAIN? Last edited by ACEACE : 08-11-05 at 07:48 PM. | |

| I think in the nasty weather they might try to run the ball more, which will speed up the game, chew up the clock, and thus should keep it under the total...usually early in the preseason, defenses are ahead of the offenses, and with both teams playing a lot of young qbs i dont see them taking too many chances.

| ANYONE LIKING THE UNDER THINK ABOUT THIS: The Pack has a ton of defenders out, db's, lb's and dl's. They are scrounging anybody just to get some bodies to play tonight. Both starting rb's are sitters, and backups only get so many carries. The reps are required for the backup QB's to get their timing with receivers/ends/backs during game conditions. I look for Rivers and Cal kid (hopefully not another Boller) to pass often, and as many incompletions as they throw, a lot of stopped clock. Pack shown severe disinterest in this spot, scoring nothing. But again, you could see a lot of scoring in the rain. Rain with no wind is really bad for defenders. And there is a high probability of those conditions. I am sure you will have it all figured out by gametime Ace. I KNOW WHAT I'M BETTING IN THIS GAME....SOMETHING HAS TO BE SAID TO CHANGE MY MIND IN THE LAST 1/2 HOUR BEFORE THE GAME WE WILL ALL VOTE AND SEE WHAT WE HAVE LEARN FROM ALL THIS... IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BET THE GAME ITS OK ...YOUR VOTE COUNTS ALSO.... |

| Chargers WR Keenan McCardell and WR Eric Parker will not play much tonight, if at all. What will be seen is WR Reche Caldwell's surgically repaired knee and rookie WR Vincent Jackson's magnificent hands. Also, WR Willie Quinnie, WR Ruvell Martin and WR Carl Morris will try to be seen, as much by other teams that might be watching as by the receiver-rich Chargers. The Chargers will keep seven or eight receivers (five or six on the active roster and two or three on the practice squad). While many of the 11 receivers in camp have stood out in practice, HC Marty Schottenheimer expects to leave Lambeau "with a little better sense of who is going to be able to stand up to the bright lights." |

| reports Chargers QB Philip Rivers rarely took snaps with the first team last season, and even his two quarters of action in the regular-season finale felt to him to lack significance. But he has spent the past two weeks taking turns with the starters and the past six months immersed in the offense. He will be the Chargers' featured quarterback tonight, taking over in the second quarter when QB Drew Brees retires for the night, and likely playing through the third quarter. "I'm ready," Rivers said. " ..... I'm going in confident in what we're doing." |

| The lines haven't moved for a while now. I think the last hour will be the telling tale. We will see, but right now I am on GB if the line jumps up to +3.5 and on SD if the line moves down to 2.5 3 is a no play as it stands now for me. I dont like betting preseason but if any one of those happen I will bite. I will also see how the weather is before gametime to make a decision on if I play the total unless someone really has some good stuff to sway me before gametime. Im not an action bettor and if I dont like the 1 game thats on I will not bet it. This game, MNF, and even the Superbowl is just another bet for me the way I look at it. A winner is a winner ![]() Last edited by Tommy : 08-11-05 at 08:43 PM. |

| yeah most of the time the team that wins the game will cover the spread so just look for the team you expect to win the game

| No, Im not trying to wait to buy the extra hook on each side, Its the process of the line movement throughout the day and the last hour to see which team is getting the late action. |

| ok voting in the last hour it is Yeah I saw the thread over there. A few people, but yeah not much detail at all, it was basically thier opinions in a peanut shell and a few that just wanted to know who you liked lol. Not really anything special like I hope to have right here. I wish I already had 10 years instead of 6 months under the belt with this forum lol. I think their would be a few more involved with this if that was the case. I think its doing pretty good so far and shouldnt be too long before, with the right moves, take this site to a high level and have a superior SCI and Insider Power I am leaning towards the under, but would like to see what the weather is looking like at game time |
