OK guys have fun debating this game, my view is Toledo keeps it close as DOC is calling for a straight out win by Toledo but the points are a gift here. On my way to NYC will be back after 8 tonite with Doc's play for tomorrow. Its already in as he'll be on his way back to Kennedy Airport tomorrow while his game is playing.

MAC vs WAC as Fresno (4-2-1 as home favorite last two years) takes on Toledo, which is 3-0 and scored 53.3 ppg. Rockets are 3-5 as road dog last two years- they've played three bad teams so far, outscoring them 104-13 in first half. Fresno had 17-0 lead at Oregon, let game slip away (37-34). Toledo 4-12-1 vs spread on grass, but they have senior QB, quality program, and I think they're live dog here, getting double figures., although MAC road dogs are 7-11 vs spread in non-league games. WAC home clubs are 3-0 vs spread in non-league contests. Interesting game don't Toledo kids have to go to school? This is long road trip.

TOLEDO FREE PRESS A source close to University of Toledo quarterback Bruce Gradkowski is reporting that a concussion suffered by Gradkowski will keep him out of tomorrow night’s game against Fresno State. Gradkowski was diagnosed today with the concussion, a result of taking a knee to the head during the Temple game. The top-25 Fresno State team will reportedly face UT freshman Clint Cochran. Team officials were not available for comment. THANKS KCDUTTON FOR THE INFO

From the Toledo fish wrap. Sounds like internal injuries. What the f--k happened to this kid. It says he took a hit and could not catch his breath? Years ago Bledsoe with the Pats took a hit from a Jets linebacker and almost had a collapsed lung, I thought that was one of the worst injuries I had ever seen. Coach closes practice and everyone hush hush, huge line move. Toledo 3-0 vs Temple,W. Mich., W. Illonis(3 sub par teams) and @ Fresno. It also says he met with the medical staff ie DOCTORS not trainer. Sounds very serious.Almost like a hockey team not giving out injury info for fear of the other team going after that injury and causing more damage. Rotating 3 QB,s in practice. I'm taking Fresno my place has it at 14. Good luck Article published Saturday, September 24, 2005 UT’s Gradkowski back, but limited By DAVE HACKENBERG BLADE SPORTS WRITER Starting quarterback Bruce Gradkowski returned to practice with his University of Toledo teammates yesterday, but was limited in his participation, according to coach Tom Amstutz. “Bruce was out there and he did practice,” Amstutz said after the session. “He took a limited number of reps.” Amstutz closed practice to the media yesterday after it was reported that Gradkowski did not practice Thursday because of an undisclosed injury or injuries. Amstutz said practices would remain closed today and tomorrow as the Rockets prepare for Tuesday’s game at Fresno State. Amstutz said Gradkowski would meet again with the team’s medical staff this morning, adding, “there is nothing new to report at this time about his playing status.” Amstutz again declined to be specific about what is ailing Gradkowski. On Thursday, he said, “There are a couple of things.” The senior, UT’s career leader in completions and passing yardage, had trouble catching his breath after taking a hit late in the first half of UT’s win last Saturday at Temple. He missed the first series of the second half, but returned later to throw for one touchdown and run for another. Amstutz said three quarterbacks rotated during yesterday’s practice and that backup Clint Cochran, a redshirt freshman, took the majority of the snaps. Cochran has played in all three UT games to date, and has completed 14 of 16 pass attempts for 92 yards. “He has shown that he can take control and run the offense,” Amstutz said of Cochran. “He has a good grasp of our offense and has put the ball on target.” Contact Dave Hackenberg at:dhack@theblade.com

I'm going with the under on this one. Toledo should run a lot and use short passing plays. Doubt they'll put up too many points without their QB as Ace says. I don't think Fresno will run up the score.
