| The Pulse is in high spirits after another winning week as the Oakland vs. Kansas City game went under 51 ½ last week for a 3 star victory. As the crystal ball predicted, any number under 50 was a pass and this game landed right on 50 after Vermeil decided to forgo overtime. The Pulse’s huge winning streak continues. The Pulse is now up 17 ½ units on the 2005 season, so hopefully all of you are bathing in coin while your man runs for the Rolaids. Alas, November is here and the NFL schedule starts to get a little dicey as the numbers get sharper and the teams are left with two options—shape up and head toward the playoffs or receive an early vacation. With that in mind, we are going with a contrarian play that will not be a hot item for most handicappers. Yet another big play has come to The Pulse's crystal ball which will mean easy $$$. Play of the Week The Pulse's Record: +17.5 Units Tampa Bay vs. Washington The Pulse gives this play a 4-Star Rating, and says: Take Tampa Bay +1 Everyone saw how impressive Washington looked on Sunday night. The defense looked great against the run, the offense was balanced and efficient, and the game plan was sound. Of course, being in front of a crazed home crowd after being thwarted by the Giants the week before gave the Skins the emotional boost needed to outplay Team Turmoil from Philly. However, those fans will be watching TV this week, and the situation and opponent will be vastly different. Tampa Bay was cruising earlier this season, looking like they had the blueprint for an easy NFL playoff ticket. A great defense and a solid running game was just the right medicine to get them back into contention. But injuries to Brian Griese and Cadillac Williams hurt the Bucs. They lost 2 straight games in an embarrassing fashion to the Niners on the road with the rope-throwing cowboy at QB and a blowout to their main rivals at home, Carolina. The Pulse thinks that Carolina is the best that the NFC has to offer and the Redskins just don’t have their balance or talent. An emotional Tampa Bay should play a huge game in front of the home folks to wipe away the humiliation of last week’s disgrace. The Redskins are just the remedy for the Bucs to return to their winning ways. The game plan for head coach Jon Gruden will be simple—run, run and run again. Gruden will let the defense keep them in the game and will eventually win by utilizing a bruising and punishing style of play. Remember that Tiki Barber gained 206 yards against this fast but not extremely strong Redskin “D”. We see the Bucs getting back to their winning ways with a plan that will prevent QB Chris Simms from being in a position to pass much. Gruden will have the leash on as he pummels the Redskins on the ground and forces turnovers with his aggressive and talented defense. Additionally, we are getting a point here at home so the value looks very promising. Chalk up another win this week as the Bucs get on track and win outright over the Skins at the Big Sombrero.
