Pittsburgh is 5-2 ATS in its last 7 games.
Pittsburgh is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games on the road.
Pittsburgh is 6-2 ATS in its last 8 games against Indianapolis
Indianapolis is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games
Indianapolis is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games at home
The Steelers have won nine of the last ten meetings against the Colts and are 13-4 all-time. The last time these teams met in 2002, Pittsburgh beat the Colts, 28-10 at home. Pittsburgh has covered the spread in eight of the last 10 meetings against Indianapolis.
The sizzling Colts led by quarterback Peyton Manning, will most likely stay undefeated this season, but will be facing the hard-hitting Steelers with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger back at the helm. Roethlisberger is 18-1, including a 9-0 on the road in his career. Pittsburgh’ offense will tear down the Colts' defense making this a competitive fight. Expect a high scoring close battle tonight at Indiana.
Pittsburgh + 8 1/2

Vic, I just found this article on the net (last night and emailed it to myself). I though it was rather interesting.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I'm looking at the Return of Rottenburger as the deciding factor here. Big Ben is 18-1 as an NFL starter. And if you're looking for a flaw to exploit in the Indy defense, it starts with the run. Bill Cowher has gone public with his goal to smash the ball and slow down the game - the Steelers should be up to the task against a Colts' defense that gives up 4.5 yards per carry, sixth worst in the NFL. Steelers run the football and play "D". And it worked to perfection against the 5-1 Bengals in Week 7, the Steelers rushed for 221 yards and easily won the time-of-possession battle. Roethlisberger threw for less than 100 yards in that one. The Steelers only allowed a QB to throw for 300 yards once, that was Tom Brady early in the season. Since then, they've been fantastic in shutting down the passing game. They're tied for the league lead in fewest passing TDs allowed (7), 5th in the NFL in sacks (30) and ninth in interceptions (12). They also have a Pro Bowl safety in Troy Polamalu, who is going to be in the face of Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne so much tonight he will smell their bad breaths!!!

I have Indy in 2 Teasers and UNDER 53 in the other. In the article it say that Cowher is going to RUN the ball like he did in beating Cincinnati and keeping Manning and Company off the field. So I am hoping Indy can win it by 3 points @ Home so it looks like a low scoring game. When Roethlisberger was healthy against Cincinnati he only threw for 93 yards, (I looked it up in week 7) He averaged about 10 yards a completion. So I am looking for a low scoring game and a 3 to 10 point Indy victory.

Cowher knows he can't get into a shootout with Indy no more than he could have gotten into a shootout with Cincinnati when they played. Well we all saw what happened when Cincy & Indy got into a shootout. Cincy lost 37-45 to Indy. I'll give you one more thing to think about, Why is the TOTAL ONLY 47 when Indy is capible of putting that much up by themselves???? Could it be Cowher coming out publicly and saying he is going to RUN the ball against Indy whose defense gives up 4.5 yards per carry on defense???? In Indy's last (5) five games they scored in the 40's 3 times and in the 30's twice. Beware of the OVER play!!!

BOL tonight Vic!!!

Thx and WTG with the Saints, I'll drink to that

I was so close to hitting my 3 team ML underdog parlay it hurt. The NYG missed 2 FG's to win the game (1) at the end of regulation and (1) in OT. Green Bay had the ball on the Philly 45 with a minute to go and Favre got GREEDY or stupid and went for it all and threw into triple coverage and was intercepted in the endzone. I wish he would have not done that with a minute left in the game. Maybe thats why they are 2-9 this year, bad decisions on Favre's part.

Yes we did!!! I think I am going to start looking at using the ML on dogs that are +3 to +5 that I like. The payoff is a lot better. If you are going to use a dog that is +3 or +4 they will probably win the game if they are going to cover a $200.00 parlay with 2 teams on the runline pays $520.00, the other day I had a dog That was +3 with the total and the parlay was paying $640.00 or $120.00 more using the ML instead of taking the 3 points. If nothing else take half of the amount of the parlay and use it with the moneyline.

Do you make many parlays????
