| Playoffs. This week, Its Who Came To Play. Its all about who COULD get to the SB. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last week hurt for sure. Losing 2 sides with costly turnovers(TB) and losing a great QB(Palmer) to totally change what the outcome would have been IMO. Now this week. If you REALLY take a close look here with these games, there is 2 ways to picking a team. 1. You could say who's NOT really good enough to get to the superbowl. 2. You could say who is good enough to get to the superbowl - regardless of the matchups. That is precisely how these four games should be viewed, IMO. Making a decision by what it takes to get to a SB means alot here now. Rarely does any team get there without a good defense. Rarely does any team get there without a running game. Never does any team get there without a QB that can last 4 quarters against a real good defensive opponent. Game ONE .Washington at Seattle. Neither of these teams are SB caliber. The skins won on TO's LW but still they are better defensively then Seattle. The passing game will survive for Wash here because the Seahawks really dont have a great "D". But, the Seahawks SHOULD win this game, but by less than the spread. My Play Washington +9 (+10 if it gets there) Game TWO. New England at Denver. Regardless of their record, the Broncos havent impressed me. They're only the favorite because of Mile High and winning over NE early in the season. I have yet to see ANY TEAM, beat Belichick two times in the same season since the Pats became winners.. Pats are healthy now and a different team, than what they were in the first 9 games. When it comes down to, what QB do you want your money on, I'll take Brady. If its cold, Arizona Jake cant pass like Brady, at Home or not! Patriots +3. Game 3. Pittsburgh at Indianapolis. The game the Steelers won was against a backup QB, (Kitna) that was obvious after Cincy got behind. They just couldnt get in the red zone and the defense looked like they gave up when it was 21-17. The Colts have NO backups playing this week, and Pittsburgh is in for a beating. There is also a great deal of expectation for the game to played for Tony Dungy. Also, a Steeler player had some bad comments about the Colts being a "finess" team. That was an insult to Indy, that will be an additional motivator for a one sided win. Cower has NO defense that can stop the Colts. The Steelers have nothing to bring to the table, that can win this game. The Colts will dominate with time of possession and that will reduce the Pitt running game to a part time option, which will vanish when they have to pass, when down by 21 points. Home and Dome for Manning and Colts rout 'em. Indy -9, 10, 12, or 14. It wont matter. Game 4 Carolina at Chicago. The Panthers lost here early this year. It wasnt pretty but Chi got it done. I have a concern about a playoff team changing QB in a game like this. Futhermore he was rested, the last week of the season, after playing one game. Grossman isnt really top-shelf when it come to QB's in the NFL. Everyone knows its the defense that got Chicago in this playoff spot. But what the Bears did against other playoff teams and non-playoff teams exposes a potential weakness here IMO. They were beaten by Pitt and Cincy. two AFC teams. They also lost to Cleveland, and beat Baltimore without half the Ravens defense and NO quarterback for Baltimore. Carolina is better than all of them except maybe Cincy. The Panthers looked real good LW and were playing with confidence. They can run the ball and pass with a very good defense too. This game should be a pick game at Chicago. I see the Panthers doing much better this time there and leaving with road win no. 2. Carolina +3 Thats how I see 'em. GLTA. |

| GL this weekend, like the skins play...dont think seattle wins big, but do expect them to win by about 6...if wash can protect brunell they have a shot to win....but i dont think they will make enough plays to pull it out i think everyone is buying into the NE hype...sure they looked good against JAX, but lord byron hadnt played in over a month...and the previous 6 games or so were against the bottom feeders in the nfl for the most part, the mia, jets, buffalo's etc...big step up in competition, den is gonna pound that ball and their d is nasty...and at home i like them to win

Naught. thanks for the input. Keep in mind that the Patriots only had ONE starting defensive lineman in the earlier game. They're all playing this time. Should be TYPICAL Patriot football... a steady flow of long drives and superior defense to go with it. GLTY | |
