You won, but you can't say with a straight face that there were some calls that went in Pitt's favor that were blatant. Do you really think that offensive pass interference was a good call? Do you really think Ben croissed the goal line? 2 big calls and it was obvious that the NFL wanted to send Bettis out with the trophy.

The " holding " call when Seattle completed a pass inside the 5 yd line...are you telling me you saw a hold? I can continue if you would like? Great game form "The next Brady" Big Ben? 9-21 123yds 2 INT's

Yes there was bad calls, unfortunatley it happens week after week in the NFL. I dont understand why it can happen when you have the play showing over and over and over....but it does. I have been on the other side of it lots of weeks, just glad I was with it this week.....Hate getting the win this way, but that is the Shady NFL...LIKE IT OR NOT ....see ya next year

you can have the 7 back we still win by 4, seattle admits theirself they made mental mistakes , didnt control the clock at the end, dropped pass after dropped pass...steelers played championship football and seattle DID NOT. Next year doesn't have anything to do with it, screw next year IM enjoying this year. This guys in another forum says it better... The Interference call was legit..you cant push off, cant do it..especially with the Zebra right there. granted it looked worse than it was...But, the way the play developed had an impact on the guys call. If the ball would have been a second or 2 later and the WR ran further after the push....No Call..Since the ball was there right after the push...Flag. The Holding call was just plain bad luck...those are called every week in the NFL. If the pass was overthrown, you would have nobody bitching about that call. The Right tackle was getting beat upfield alot and had another holding call i believe. I am sure he was getting an extra look. Hasselbacks blocking call the the worst of the game. He never made contact with the Pitt blocker before he hit the Interceptor..So, that was bad. Dont know what you guys are watching, But, Rothlesbergers scored...The ball crossed over the front of the white line when he was in the air..then got hit back by the LB. Crying about that is ridiculous..You just gave up a 3rd and 28..!!! If you Dont give up the big play....guess what.......no TD. Blame the Defense. But, bottom line is this....You cant give up a 75 yd TD run, a Double reverse pass for a TD and allow Ben R to scramble around for 1 minute on a 3rd and 28 and hit Ward on a 40 play down to the 1. Did Pitt give up big plays like that... Seattle had numerous opportunities with great field position and got shut down.Go look at the Play by Play. Steeler Defense on 3rd Down was excellent. Pitt also did a great job tackling and limiting Seattle with yards after catch..part of their plan to give up the underneath stuff ahead of schedule and keep them to minimal gains. Lebeau is excellent and deserves alot of credit. People who backed Seattle were upset and I can understand that...But, Seattle didnt play Championship Football Sunday. They gave up 3 HUGE plays, their kicking game sucked, coaching decisions/clock management that was really poor and obviously a few mental mistakes that happened to be costly. Oh, and for the record...Jeremy Stevens should have shut up ...His game is not ready for smack talk. And if you think it didnt have an Impact on him, your nutz. OH AND BTW How about that perfect throw trick play by Randel EL Hope you can get your money back on Pro Bowl....

1. The Refs didn't give up the longest run in SB history...Seattle's defense did. 2. The Refs didn't bite on a 43 yd trick play, Randle to Ward for a TD...Seattle's defense did. 3. The Refs didn't allow Ben to scramble around on a 3rd and 28 and complete a long pass to the 2 yd. line...Seattle's defense did. 4. The Refs didn't miss two field goals, that was Seattle. 5. The Refs didn't fail to step out of bounds late in the 1st half to stop the clock in Pitt territory in a crunch time situation...Seattle's offense did. 6. The Refs didn't let the 1st half clock tick down from 48 seconds all the way down to 13 seconds before finally running their next play at Pitt's 36 yd line... Seattle's offense did. 7. And on this play, 3rd down, 53 yds away from a FG, it wasn't the Refs who tried and failed to go deep for a TD rather than a safer 5-7 yd play and timeout setting up a much easier FG attempt....that, again, would be Seattle's offense. 8. The Refs didn't get confused by Pitt's zone defense and throw an INT...that would be Seattle's QB. 9. The Refs didn't let a little physical contact intimidate them from catching 4 very catchable passes...that would be the Seattle TE Jeremy Stevens. 10. With approx. 20 seconds left in the game, knowing they need a TD and FG, in no particular order, and in easy FG range on 4th down, it wasn't the Refs who ignored the FG and elected to throw up a prayer trying for a TD...that AGAIN would be Seattle. 11. The Refs didn't constantly punt deep into the end zone, repeatedly giving Pitt the ball at the 20 yd line...that of course was Seattle. 12. It wasn't the Refs who received a Christmas gift wrapped easy INT lobbed in perfect position to return deep into Pitt territory...the lucky beneficiary of that break would be Seattle. 13. It wasn't the Refs who got a break when a Steeler DB dropped an easy int early in the game...that too would be a break for Seattle. 14. It wasn't the Refs who caught a break when a Steeler WR dropped a very catchable TD pass...that break again would go to Seattle. 15. It wasn't the scapegoat Refs that received a break when a WR caught the ball, turned, stepped, was hit hard enough to cause a fumble, and then ruled INCOMPLETE...that would be of course, another chance for Seattle. (this was an interesting call considering that after Troy's famous overruled Int, the NFL stated that it WAS a catch. If so, than this definitely WAS a catch) 16. The Refs werent the ones who caught a break when at the conclusion of a 2nd qtr play, as a Pitt DE was walking away, the Seattle Center blindsided the defenseless player, leveling him to the ground. This mysteriously unseen crime was again another break for Seattle. 17. It wasn't the Refs who got a break when Pitt QB Big Ben was blocked in the back as he pursued the DB who he'd tossed an int to...that again would go to Seattle. 18. It wasn't the Refs who stopped Seattle RB Alexander in a few key situations. That would be the Pittsburgh Steelers. 19. It wasn't the Refs who converted many of their 3rd downs yet stopped their opponent on 3rd down often...that would be the Pittsburgh Steelers. 20. And the very bottom line is this...On plays when there wasn't any penalties...One team made plays and one team didn't. The end result was the final score, 21-10 Seattle was outcoached and outplayed. Get over it Seattle. You start with the "ifs" and you might as well begin with "if Seattle didn't win the coin toss"... It's a game. And it's over. You lost. The Steelers played like crap the whole first half and still put up 21 points for the game. Seattle only could put up 10 for the game. The game is over, you can reanalyze it as many times as you want and say "if we did this, then this would happen". The problem is you create an alternate-reality = the moment one of those "ifs" actually happens, the whole course of the game is different. Different plays get called from that point forward. You can't just pick and choose certain times you want to change something in history. Once you change one thing, the rest of it changes as well.

Actually you would give 14 points to Seattle. The TD in the 1st quarter and the bullshit holding call, if that wasn't called holding Alexander would have scored bcause they were on the 2. Get your facts straight. I understand that Seattle lost the game because they didn't capitalize, but you also have to realize that we aren't talking about little fouls. These fouls determined points. You say the foul on Hasselbeck was bullshit. You are right. Well Ben did the same thing on the trick play, go back and watch it. Look this was a very sloppy horrible game and it proves to me that neither of these teams deserved to be in the Super Bowl, but they both made it. If you going to deny that the refs took away 14 points then your an ignorant homer. Shoulda, woulda , coulda and your right, no looking back. Steelers are the champs end of story, right? Well I am just saying the game was not called fairly, thats my beef. NFL came out today and defended the refs saying they called a mistake free game. This is a load of crap, they just wanted to Cinderalla story book ending the Bettis even thogh he may have deserved it, because of the time he has put in they didn't play up to par. Ben proved he is not a high caliber QB. ESPN for the whole 2 week period said Big Ben is Brady like? That is total bullshit. Ben doesn't play on the same field as Brady and his stats proved it. 9-21 123 yds 2 INTS Look I am done with this whole argument becaused you arte always gonna come back with some excuse as to why you won, but you know it wasn't fair. You wanna say Ben crossed the goaline, well then why did the official FIRST run out with this hand up to spot the ball? The he signaled TD. If there was not enough evidence to overturn then it shouldn't have been a TD, because his first call was to spot the ball. Just admit you got away with a lot of calls, your team made plays to put the game away. It was not a pretty game, it was not a game to remember because it was a horrible game for both teams. Enjoy this because you will not be here next year. In fact Ward should have taken Denver to Disney World because if you would have had to play NE, you would have traveled to Foxboro and well you know what Pitt does in Foxboro.
