| Tonight we like a play on the OVER in the Detroit Columbus NHL matchup In ColumbusTwo teams that have found their scoring touch lately..Columbus has scored 12 goals in their past 3 home games. Last three seasons 6 of 10 meetings head to head have gone OVER The total has gone OVER in 5 of Columbus' last 7 home games Head to head their last meeting Detroit came away with a 5-0 victory Thanks in large part to the play of the veteran Dominik Hasek in goal and that leads us to our angle tonight.. Hasek played last night vs Minnesota so..the Red Wings will likely rest the 40 something Hasek in favour of backup Chris Osgood(they have in every back to back scenario this season) so gone is the Hasek threat..likely. Osgood has given up 3 and 4 goals respectively his past 2 outings.. Now as for Columbus..with Pascal Leclaire likely out another night.. Young backup goalie Fredrik Norrena..SHOULD start again..Norrena Has allowed 4+ goals in his seven starts since Leclaire went down mid December. It should be backup vs backup between these two teams that can score...' We think the 5.5 total is just too inviting.. Our pick is Detroit at Columbus OVER the 5.5 goals |
