| We key in on an NHL game tonight with the Detroit Red Wings at The San Jose Sharks.A couple of teams that if past performances are any indication can play a tight checking game and are backed up by great goalies. The last four games in this series head to head have produced three unders and a push. All three of those games were played this season. Four of the last five meetings have gone uder the total. Detroit has the NHL's stingiest defense allowing 2.2 goals per game And not far behind in third is San Jose at 2.4 goals per game. The anticipated goaltending matchup should seal this one. Red Wings have had a full day off so are expected to go with the veteran Dominik Hasek and his tiny 1.80 goals against. Hasek last faced the Sharks back on October 25th, a 2-1 Wings UNDER victory. At the other end of the ice that night was San Jose's Evgeni Nabokov. If The Sharks stick to their strict rotation Nabokov will be between the pipes. The young Russian has an impressive 2.22 GAA. We like Detroit and San Jose to skate to an UNDER 5.5 goals |
