| We like a second straight play against the goalie-challenged L.A. Kings..Kings travel to Atlanta to face the Thrashers. This is the first meeting between the two teams this year.. Last years Kings 8-6 win means nothing this time around for plenty of reasons..firstly and we played on this successfully yesterday is the Kings situation in goal. With number one and two Goalies Dan Cloutier and Matthieu Garon both out with injuries giving way to unknowns Barry Brust an Futaka Fukefuji.. Brust played well enough yesterday..but bring on a fresh Atlanta Thrashers team that has been resting at home since a feel-good win at Carolina three nights ago..and you have to like Atlanta.. The Thrashers are also due to break out offensively like they can. .and this could be the Perfect opportunity. Kings losers of four straight played just yesterday afternoon.and might be a rudderless team right now…beginning withtheir lack of an NHL level goaltender..Thrashers goaltender Kari Lehtonen has been more than capable having won 20 games already but in front of him is an arsenal of scorers that have been cool lately.. No team in the Western Conference has a worse road record than the Kings No team in the Eastern Conference has as few home losses than Atlanta. And we don’t think it gets any better for the LA. Kings. We play against the stone cold Kings again. Our pick is Atlanta to win and cover the goal and a half as home ice favorites over the LA Kings… |
