What should we look to Play first week? Totals, Home Team?, Favs?

i like to bet totals more than teams....but with all these new hockey rules im gonna have to see wut all the new lines are!

by the way pre-season nhl overs are a gold mine!!!

yeah id be hesitant on betting early on total wise..the new rules should lead to increased scoring, but im sure the books will adjust the totals to compenstate for this..so until we see how teams are playing totals may be tough to play...

in 03 when they tried to call more penalties early the overs dominated first few weeks. especially the salami. i noticed that most lines last yr early were 4.5-5. now they appearto be 5.5-6. seems like that may be a compensation for 14% of the games that go to o.t. and shootout.

Lines are still primarily 5.5, I think we see a few games above this total especialyl early on. I see maybe 6 or 6.5 averages this season. Especially if the officials keep giving 9 & 10 powerplays a game as they've been doing in the preseason.

I too am VERY much looking forward to hockey.
