been gone for a while...waiting for NBA...been putting my NHL picks up on SDM though...

18-19 YTD
After my THIRD ass-raping in a row on a Wed night (0-3) I realize that you guys should all FADE me on Wednesdays as my record for the past 3 Wednesdays is 1-11 !!!!! Imagine how much better I'd be doing if I just took Wednesdays off...LOL !!!

uuuummmmm....well...first of all it's a professional sport...and much like baseball, there are a lot of upsets...second of all...I haven't picked ATL for anything in weeks and I've only picked PHX once in weeks...so jackass...those are 2 of my plays tonight...you don't need to give me sh*t for picking a team based on their overall record 1 month into the season.

Further...if you even bothered to look at the starting goalies tonight...PIT's #1 is out tonight and Sebastion Caron is starting vs. Shields for ATL and in the PHX game you've got Philppe Sauve for CAL instead of their #1 (Kiprusoff) vs. Cu Jo for PHX (of course I know nothing about hockey, but I heard he's just OK).

And again...much like baseball...you can take only favs all season and guess where you're bank roll is going to end up....probably down a lot...

no problem buddy...I use this site everyday to check who's supposed to start in net...the guy's got about a 92% accuracy rate for starting goalies...

Pittsburgh is not going to go all month without a win and there is no chance they lose this game. The Atlanta Thrashers still don't have a goalie and the only thing stopping Pittsburgh from scoring 10 goals the other night was All-Star Roberto Luongo. In net for the Thrashers tonight will be Adam Berkhoel who allowed 9 goals in only two games and regardless if he plays tonight, Pittsburgh will have one hell of a game. The price is expensive here but I have extreme faith in the Pens, mostly because they have had tough luck playing against very good goalies. Atlanta is a team in shambled and they have been blown out on countless occasions this season. This game is going to be no different and I am considering dropping some cash on the puckline as well. The Thrashers have lost 5 of their last 6 and no matter what they do in this game, Pittsburgh will do one better and click on all cylinders. The Pens are 7-3-0 in their last 10 meetings with Atlanta and Mr. Crosby will get his first ever NHL win. Atlanta allows the third most powerplay goals in the NHL and they are going to give up a ton of goals tonight. The total of 7.5 most certainly points to a blowout...

I never said ATL was good...but PIT has horrible defense and the fact that their # 1 isn't even playing in net and the chalk you'd put up to play PIT...not worth it to me...if anything I'd play the Over before PIT...but that's just my opinion. No...ATL is not kicking on all cylinders right now but nor is PIT.

Listen...the whole point of these forums is for people like us to discuss different sides and angles, not necessarily to agree.

You have your opinion and I have mine. I just think the value in ATL tonight with Shields sigining today and starting is greater than playing PIT...that's all...
