Default December 13, Hockey Plays

Tuesday:

YTD: 7-7, -$25.27

St Louis Blues -150 over Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL)

$75 to win $50

Biting at the snake again here? Not that I'm concerned. The Penguins have now surrendered an NHL worst 121 goals and the Blues are becoming accustomed to scoring 3 to 5 goals a game lately. MA Fleury stopped 36 pucks last night in Detroit, the Penguins are forced to travel to St Louis and play the Blues on back to back nights. Generally the Blues are a very solid home team but their 3-10 record this season tells a team that has suffered big name losses so far in the year. Keith Tkachuk has been injured most of the year (he has something of 12 points over his last 5 games). Christian Backman and Barret Jackman have both lost time on defense and Peter Cajanek is currently out, he has 16 assists is not as many games. Bottom line here is Pens coming off a brutal performance in Detroit will suffer tonight as well in St Louis. Curtis Sanford has taken over in goal for St Louis over Patrick Lalime (waivers), he has been much more reliable this year. Two bad teams right now but St Louis MUCH more likely to crawl back out of the hole. Ziggy Palffy didn't make the 2 game trip with the Pens and Leclair is still battling injury. Lemieux is due back in 7 to 10 days after a hospital overnight.

GL!
