Thumbs up Tommy's Top 3 Sportsbooks

These are my top 3 online sportsbooks with a few honorable mentions. This list is amongst the best in the industry IMHO. I have played with all of these sportsbooks either in the past or present.

I've been betting over 10 years online and only a few bumps along the road. I've never had a problem with any payouts and that is the most important criteria when choosing a sportsbook as your nut out, even though I always suggest you continuously shop lines at more than 1 sportsbook to get the best prices available. This is something that IMO beats the crap out of any local. I only condone post-up over credit. My slogon is always if I don't have the money, then I can't get into much trouble.

Ok, onto my top 3 online sportsbooks with a little detail of each of them and a few more that I think are pretty much in the same category. This is just my opinion.

PINNACLE SPORTS (No Longer Accepting Players within the US)
If you are into reduced juice and saving money on wagers, then this is undoubtably the place to play. You can save on average 5-6 cents on every wager. If you are a larger bettor, then this is huge and almost a must. Very clean sportsbook interface and professional. Super fast payout without a problem. Large selection of options. The only downer about Pinnacle is no toll-free phone support but email responses are prompt. This is not a big deal for me personally as I've only had a problem or question about 5 times in 9 years. Also, this is not the ideal place if you bet alot of parlays, but is the King of single wagers.

BETCRIS
Betcris has been around for a long time with a good reputation within the industry. They usually have overnight lines before most other online sportsbooks. If I want to see a line for tomorrow's games or want to bet a game the night before, I usually go here first. Betcris has a nice selection to wager on as well. Customer service has always been nice to me and payouts have been quick. If I was to pick one sportsbook for professionalism, this one would be neck and neck with Pinnacle. They have a toll-free phone number for CS, parlays and other types of wagers are very good.

THE GREEK (Olympic)
Like Pinnacle and Betcris, The Greek is all about professionalism and reputation. This is actually my first online sportsbook I have ever played with. I'm glad I did because I've never had a problem. Overnight lines are important to me and the Greek has them as well. Payouts are easy and fast without a problem.

5 DIMES
5 Dimes is like a kid in a candy store for sports betting. They have the most options out of any sportsbook that I know of. If you know any more options than 5 Dimes please let me know! Overnight lines, good costumer service and payouts are nice and simple, the way it should be and the way I like it. If you bet all sports including Tennis like I do, then look no further. Overnight Nickel lines for baseball as well, which is nice.

BODOG
I've played at Bodog a few times, usually to find a good dog line. If you like to bet dogs, then this is a good spot to find a great price on them. Bodog is not only a sportsbook, but has a good poker room as well with alot of fish. If you are good at poker, then dive in and make some money! Bodog is more of an entertaining spot than anything. They have alot going on over there like contests and handicapping materials. If you are a smaller bettor, then this place is ideal. Never had a problem with a payout and CS is also very good.

SKYBOOK
I've only been playing at Skybook just as recently as last year, but this is a good spot. They always have good promos going on to help your bankroll. Everything is pretty much top notch as the sportsbooks listed above. Skybook's customer service is probably one of the best I've come across. They are very nice. Like Bodog, this is pretty much a book if you are a smaller bettor and mostly bet the major sports.

VIP.com
VIP has been around for a long time. I've played there once or twice before. I really like thier rewards program, you get points for rewards on every wager, which is nice. Customer service is good as well. This is another book if you are a recreational bettor that mostly just bets the major sports is a great out.
Payouts are quick and simple.

As you can see, the most important criteria for me is first and foremost, simplicity and timely payouts, then good customer service and professionally mannered! The books must have a good reputation and be financially stable.

I feel all the sportsbooks listed above meet these criterias and more. This is just my opinion and from personal playing experiences. If you would like to add any input or your opinion, please feel free.

Thanks,

Tommy

Out of the ones you mentioned, Bodog and THE GREEK are the best.

5Dimes has been playing games with people cancelling wagers after the game starts for bad lines. Check sportsbookreview.com on that. RX has stated that VIP may be done after superbowl. Majorwager says betcris is leavign after the super bowl. Just dont want to see your users getting hurt hear my friend.

I'd be careful in any book right now. I seriously doubt that Betcris is leaving after the Superbowl and even if they do, I'd find it hard to believe they would stiff.

They are all rumors as of right now and IMO, NO ONE knows anything concrete. Just rumors to lure in traffic like yourself. They do a good job of it...

As far as 5 Dimes. I haven't heard anything of the sort. They are as solid as they come. Been playing there for years and always have gotten paid.

A guy at another site took the over 7.5 rebounds +150 on a prop (the dog was -105). They cancelled the wager stating that the line was wrong. the only problem is they cancelled it 15 minutes into the game and the player already had 4 rebounds! 5Dimes can do shady things.

I find that only Pinnacles is the best. Many people tell me about Bodog, I´ve played there, won big but walked away as odds are low.

Why don´t you have a look at Canbet and bet365?

BTW, I got 3 vouchers at bwin.com. Who can play there and want to get it (2Euros each). PM me.

hey man, canbet and 365 are solid but us customers not allowed to use them, same w bwin...the euro books are often better than the ones we can use but Bodog is pretty solid, has a few drawbacks but not bad....

Bodog poker is becoming the best online poker room especialy for nolimit holdem ring games and tourneys i highly recomend Bodog also decent sportsbook and casino. I think Full tilt is better for high low games and tourneys.
