| Its time for some holiday treats from The Pulse. While you are preparing for your Turkey today, we have a nice appetizer to “noche” on before the onslaught begins on your digestive system. We will have another beauty for the weekend but for right now let’s get down to business for Thanksgiving Day in the NFL Play of the Week The Pulse's Record: +24 Units Denver Broncos vs. Dallas Cowboys The Pulse gives this play a 4-Star Rating, and says: Bet Under 41.5! Looking at this one may give you the inclination to look for a wild score fest between these elite teams in the NFL. But on further review, we see a very hard defensive struggle with these two teams looking to run the ball at all costs. This game comes off a short week for both teams, which means no new plays to work on in practice this week. Both coaching staffs are tireless workers and both head coaches are firm believers in the running game and defense. We see this one as a close contest, every play being a war of attrition to gain field position and run some clock. Both defenses are very capable of keeping the other from going into the end zone. We are looking for FG’s in this one as TD’s will be at a premium. Another further look at this game makes it an even more appealing choice for the “under”. Bledsoe has lost his left tackle for this game in Flozell Adams. The Lions, not exactly a defensive juggernaut, knocked Drew around last Sunday and without much protection, he is vulnerable to a very active Denver defensive line. Parcells will do all he can to protect his QB and his game plan will be to run the ball early and often with his two headed monster in Jones and Barber. One thing that can rattle the “all of a sudden” efficient QB Plummer for Denver is to make him win the game late. In every game this year except for Game One in Miami, he has had a lead and can do things with play action that can make Denver dominate late in a game. However, you can bet your pumpkin pie that Parcells will do everything he can to stop the run with his emerging defense. The Cowboys are built for speed in their defense and don’t feel that Plummer can hurt them if he needs to pass to compensate for the run stoppage that Dallas will employ. Looking at these variables, The Pulse feels that this game will be a defensive struggle as both teams try to establish the run and burn the clock in the process. This will be a FG game in the end with both teams unable to get 20 points. Look for the Broncos to emerge with a late FG to win 16-13, although this game is too close to call for a victor. Go with the easy total under 41½ and make that Thanksgiving meal go down easy without the Alka Seltzer. From the corporate office to you, a very Happy Thanksgiving to all and look for another special “total” play in the NFL over the weekend. Login and wager by visiting www.skybook.com! |
