Iverson wins scoring title as Sixers clinch 7th place

Allen Iverson scored all 16 of his points in the first quarter to win his fourth scoring title, and the Philadelphia 76ers clinched seventh place in the Eastern Conference with a 110-86 victory over the visiting Atlanta Hawks last night.

The Sixers (43-39) could have moved up to sixth if Chicago had defeated Indiana last night, but the Pacers won, 85-83.

Philadelphia will face their former coach Larry Brown and the Detroit Pistons in the first round.

The Hawks finished 13-69 for the worst record in the N.B.A.

Iverson finished with an average of 30.7 points, joining Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan and George Gervin as the only players with four scoring titles.

dont even compare AI w jordan, not even close....in about a week sixers will be joining the knicks on the golf courses, difference is we will have a better draft pick!
