Default Poker 'Masters' Started Today

Today started the 'MASTERS' of poker. The $50,000 buy in H.O.R.S.E. event got under way at The World Series of Poker 2007. This is an amazing event that draws the best of the best in the world of poker.
The buy in alone says you best know your way around a poker table and positively you better know the game of poker.
The player list includes some of the best players in the world. T. J. Cloutier,Chip Reese,Mike Sexton,Phil Ivey and Chris Ferguson to name a few.
What I really like about this event is the fact that it includes the true 'games' of poker.
'H' Hold'em is first.'O' Omaha/ 8 or better follows.After Omaha comes 'R' Razz.
The next game is 'S' Stud and this is followed by 'E' Stud/8 or better.
All players start with 100,000 in tournament chips and it is a grueling five days until the winner is determined.
Last years event had 143 players and the winner was Chip Reese, he won a cool $1,784,600.

At the end of day one,Eli Elezra is chip leader with 561,000. Phil Ivey is in fifth with 260,400 and Scotty Nguyen is in tenth place with 186,100.
The total prize pool for this event is a whopping $7,104,000! With 148 entries this is where I would like to be. If I only had an extra $50,000 laying around!

Good Luck!

Lucky, skilled '21' remain in the H.O.R.S.E. event. Today is crunch day for the remaining 21 to go for the over $7,000,000 in prize money.
Yesterday saw the elimination of some of the best.
Phil Ivey was knocked out by Noah Jefferson. Phil's A-8 lost to Noah's A-J in the Hold'em stage. It is rumored that Phil bet $10,000 at 30-1 that he would win the H.O.R.S.E. event. Knowing Phil, he did make that bet.
Robert Mizrachi was eliminated by Tuan Le, and Kenny Tran put Phil Hellmuth out of the running, finishing 24th.
The leader when action starts today is Amnon Filippi with 2,343,000 chips and in second, Kenny Tran with 1,959,000.
Other players remaining ,to name a few, are John Hanson,Tim Phan,Gabe Kaplan,Chris Reslock and Greg Raymer.
