hm, hm...I think that Blake to win at least 1 set is worth to try with odds presented at the moment. Federer was close to lost serve with much weak opponents.

I must say that I like Blake in a huge upset tonight. He's playing the best tennis of his life right now, and as you guys already pointed out, J-Block will be there if he needs any help. Now, I know Federer hasn't even dropped a set this entire tournament, and he's unstopable everywhere in the world except France, but that's why they call it an upset. Nadal went down yesterday in four sets, and I like Federer to go down the same way tonight in five sets. (I hope so anyway )

James blew some chances to win that 1st set. Fed is running away with the 2nd set now. Should be a short match from here on out.

James gets bageled in the 2nd set. He should just retire and save the humiliation. LOL

I'm still not sold on Nadal on anything other than clay or slow hard courts. To say Federer would be upset like Nadal (comparing) isn't a good reasoning.

When Nadal wins 4 straight Wimbledons, 2 out of the last 3 AO and not far away from his 3rd straight US Open, then we can compare the 2 on faster surfaces.

Motivational stunt for Blake. It worked. He showed some grit. Entertaining match Well played matched by Blake even though he didn't win it.

It was a good match Big. But I wasn't comparing Nadal to Federer. I said that in Vegas's eyes, it was a huge upset, that's all. Of course Federer is better than Nadal, he might eveb be the best ever. But for Blake, it's tough losing the 1st set to Roger. He got it together in the 3rd set, but it was much too late. Good match though.

until federer can beat nadal consistently, which he cant, he struggled to beat him in 5 on hard courts, and won a close match on nadals worst surface grass....whats the h2h again? nadal owns fed...vamos rafa....gonna be roddick/fed final, id love to see andy whoop him

blake/fed didnt have their best stuff tonight, blake gave away 2 of those sets...its a shame...after blowing that first set he mentally gave up in that 2nd set..good to see him fight back and take the 3rd and even have some chances down 4-5 in the 4th after being down 5-1..good effort jblock...

This is totally irrelevant to what I was talking about. Who cares about the head to head. Tim Henman I think has a lead on Fed in Head to Head.

Until Fed can beat Nadal consistently? What would that do? He is already well on his way to being the best player ever and contend for just about every record.

There are 4 Grand Slams in a year. If Fed wins 3 and Nadal wins 1, then who really gives a shit about hd to hd.

I'm sick of this shit, "Well he gave up the match or didn't serve well" blah blah blah.

Every time he wins I hear the same stupid shit? I mean let's get real. Being mentally strong and consistently prepared is a big part of Tennis.

Yeah it was a good match. I feel Blake played a great match and this year is clearly is his best of his career.

But I still don't think even if Blake played his best tennis, which was evident tonight in the 1st and 3rd sets, that he can beat Federer in a 5 set match.

Too many things would have to go right for him to pull it off. He was playing great tennis before this match and in this match in his best year with the crowd support in the US and still couldn't do it.

alright ill put it to you all plain and simple you can not even be considered the greatest of all time until you can dominate on all 3 surfaces, and once federer can win a few french opens than we can talk about him greatest of all time....until than its not even an arguement....and in present day if its not on clay...federer is great...but if its fed vs. rafa on clay......all day VAMOS RAFA!!!

blake was playing great tennis b4 this match? wow, tommy what tennis are u watching....he played well vs berdych yes...the rest of his matches he didnt play very well this open and his struggles leading into the open have been well documented and if uve watched him play ud know blake isnt on his a-game coming into the us open...

anyways im not taking anything away from fed...he won the match...he played well enough to win, which is all he had to do...he played the bigger points better and was more consistent, point blank...i would be very shocked if he doesnt make it to the finals, and he should be the favorite to win it....itll be him and roddick, who he has dominated...roddick looked nasty vs a injured hewitt yesterday but ill be curious to see if he can take the title...it would be great for the us and great for tennis....
