Default Great Final...

This is a treat to watch. Very entertaining. I must say that Nadal is playing better at this point. It's in the 5th set now and Nadal had 15-40 twice and failed to break. Federer is up 3-2 now.

Fed makes it look easy when it counts the most. Great match. It's at least nice to see both of them challenge each other on thier preferred surface, because take away one of them and the other is just streamrolling over the weak ass rest of the field, on any surface.

great match i agree...but rafa getting injured turned that match around...end of 4th set and 5th he couldnt hit the serve, he was only serving about 100 mph, down from 120, and on federers serves often he didnt even try to move bc of his knee....great win for federer, but his days are numbered, there is gonna be a new sheriff in town and its rafa nadal....grass is supposed to be fed's best surface and rafa's worst and last yr was supposed to be a fluke and he lost in 4, this yr lost in 5 and could have very easily won, and prob would have if he didnt injure the knee...the difference among these two is closing, and closing quickly...if rafa is healthy by us open ill be betting on him to win it

I cant believe McEnroe was comparing Nadal to Borg. He said federer is playing a modern day Borg? eh??? Borg won 5 Wimbledons and 6 French Open's and Nadal has won 0 Wimbledon's and 3 French.

11 Grand Slams for Federer now. Ties Borg for 5 Wimby's in a row.

I don't think the injury had ANY effect except for maybe momentum and Nadal kept that momentum when he came back and won the 4th set 6-2 so I'm not bying it. Fed made some incredible shots to pull away in the 5th. Nadal had 2 great chances (-15-40 twice) to break Fed and Fed didn't let it happen. Sorry not buying it. Did you watch the match after he got injured? I didn't see it have ant effect on nadal whatsoever.

Who cares about Roland Garros. It's the worst of the 4. LOL

Wimby is center stage of Tennis and Fed owns it for the last 5 years and counting.

yes i watched the match...a lot different being hurt and up 4-1 then playing in the 5th...did u not see him limping all over the court...did you not see rafa not even moving to return serves, or perhaps u neglected to see his 1st serves only 98 mph?

im not taking anything away from federer, he won...yes he was down 15-40 in the 5th twice, i saw and he won..big congrats to him on pulling it out, but rafa was clearly not even anywhere close to 100% in that set...he was able to hit shots but his movement was clearly affected and his serves had nothing on them bc he couldnt put the weight on that leg...if you cant see that, you must either have been just listening to the audio and not watching, or maybe u had blinders on i dunno...doesnt matter fed won regardless end of story

I saw Nadal limping right when he came back from that Injury break and that's about it. Federer was hitting more lines than Tony Montana in that 5th set, injured or not, nothing Nadal could have done. Nadal had his chances, but blew it. Federer had his chances and got them. Thats what Tennis is all about! When it counts...

Tell em, Tommy. I do not think Nadal's "Injury" was as bad as it seemed. He won the 4th set and they were on serve in the 5th. Once Federer broke his serve it's like Nadal got scared and he knew it was over. Roger Federer is the King of tennis. Nadal can have that crappy clay if he wants to for now. Federer is too good not to win at least one of them. But even still, he wins 3 majors a year!! Nadal is good but this is Federer's time.

I agree completely Sox. Voice of reason. Nadal will get his time soon enough, but right now it's Feds until otherwise specified Unless of course Nadal want to swap the 3 to 1 GS with Fed...

when did nadal come on the scene 3 yrs ago or so alright than from 05 to 07 ...only a matter of time till nadal beats fed. on grass and hard in a grand slam final.......2nd of all who owns the better h2h......3rd of all......has fed ever taken rafa to a 5th set at RG......i think not.........feds a pussy on clay against rafa.......and rafa did work today on the grass.....and pushed fed to limits hes never been pushed at wimby.........so fed can continue to beat up on the weak ass ATP tour......but when it comes to playing rafa h2h.......RAFA GETS THE JOB DONE more than not........so fed can have his 11 champs..........rafas gonna have 7-8 french and prob 2-3 wimbys and possibly a us or aussie open before its all over too..........and when u look back on their h2h..........you will know who the real man in town is and thats RAFA BABY!!! and to quote the "rock" from WWE tommy........................................IFFFF FFFFFFFFFFF U SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLL WHAT RAFA IS COOKIN!!!

I'm sick of hearing Nadal is one step closer to beating Federer at Wimbledon after today and will beat him next year.

Nadal probably played his best complete match of his career today. His serve was the best I've ever seen him serve. He played an almost flawless match and still lost. With the exception of the 5th set, Fed didn't play his best Tennis, at least what I've seen him capable of.

I wouldn't be suprised at all if Fed and Nadal were in next years Wimby final and fed won 6-0 6-2 6-3.

Maybe today was Nadal's chance of a lifetime to win a Wimbledon title in the Federer era. We will see.
