Default Tennis: Dutch, Mercedes, Countrywide 16/07-22/07

I'll make the post because you'll never know.

The odds today are insane but I mean, I'll look again before it gets too late.

Just making the post here now cuz it's Monday and all

No bet today but 2 things I'd think about.

Kevin Kim 2-0 lifetime against Lee (Lee 2-8 or something this year on hardcourt?). Lee was playing better on hard when Kim was beating him. Lee is getting older. Kim upset potential here... Give Kim homecourt advantage in this one and it lines up well. I have a little while to think this over but it could be worth a lay before 4 EST.

Massu 2-0 sets over De Bakker. It's a bit to lay but this Themo De Bakker is a young guy and has shown no expertise on any surface. Even though Massu and the Chileans are scary to bet on I would consider taking 2-0 here. But would I?

No bets today but there's always dangerous plays to guard against.

Hopefully something tommorow. Can't wait until the Canadian Masters event in a few weeks.

Lee worked Kim after, glad of no bet.

Tuesday:

Ignacio Chela over Mirnyi (Mercedes)
Volandri over Hernandez (Dutch)
Moya over C. Rochus (Dutch)

= -131

Why not

Yeah exactly what I was thinking naught.

Clay isn't my forte but I've been enjoying it more than these US hardcourt events so far. That Mercedes cup is up in the 7-800,000$ range so we'll see how it goes

Mirnyi is too much of a slouch, Chela moves too well. We'll see how it goes.

Got another play:

Mixed
Stake 3/5:

Stepanek over Bogdanovich (Countrywide)
Ferrero over Gaudio (Mercedes)
Elfsborg +1/2 over Linfield (Champions Lg Qualifying) *SOCCER

That Elfsborg game is bought down.

= -153

2nd play wins. Stepanek wins first set 6-1 and Bog retired.

Lessened my bet but a win is a win.

You sure Gonzo is obvious?

Some of these results are scary sometimes, just hope you're not on one of them. These Chilean guys scare me. All of them.

Was waiting for the LA lines to list today, be back soon with a play if one appeals. Maybe anotehr mixed play or something...

Wednesday: (The Monfils match goes within the hour)

Stake 3/5:
Monfils over Vanek (Mercedes)
Safin over Bastl (Countrywide)
Kiefer over Kunitsyn (Countrywide)
= -147

Trying to stay away from the 3 game multi but sometimes you can't

Safin is a scary bet but even at 30% mental capacity he takes ol' George.

Monfils goes down to Vanek. Beats the shit out of the guy in the last tourney. Monfils goes then and beats Davydenko... now he's loses to the same guy he torched last week.

I don't play to lose, this result is a bit sickening. The only reason I bet on Monfils is because of his current play. I know he's young and flakey but didn't see this result.

Won the first set 6-1.

-800... Beh

I feel confident in that Kiefer play today for anybody who cares about, he should beat Kunitsyn. He's trying to get back to his top 25 form and Kiefer has the summer on his favorite surface to do it.

I have a parlay with Kiefer/Chela (from this morning). Chela was in running at -250. Thankfully I bet that, didn't even consider for a second that Monfils would lose. That's what I get for betting on inconsistant players. I also had a feeling that Kunitsyn would beat Nalbandian yesterday (no I didn't have the balls).

Kiefer should/better win today

Thursday:

Stake 5/5:
Tursunov over Spadea (Countrywide)
Berdych over Lopez (Mercedes)
Ferrero over Hartfield (Mercedes)
Nadal over Kohlschreiber (Mercedes)
= -113

Strong play. Nadal is just a throw in here. Consider is a 3 teamer.

Personally don't see how Tursunov could lose to Spadea either.

Wasn't Spadea losing to Wes Moodie last week...

Tennis is off the head.

It's not fair. It's not bad enough that none of the odds are touchable by just 1, you really have to put 2 or more together to even have a play.

Pick 2 of what you think is best and pray is what you can do

The Masters & Majors are obviously where the dough is at, so it's where the players will play
