Tom, just need some realistic shit to happen. Spadea lost to Moodie a few weeks ago in straight sets (on grass). Moodie has a <.500 record on hardcourt. Spadea once again playing with the home crowd... we'll see if he's up to some revenge. He loses to Wesley today I'll be done with Vince.

Del Potro is a solid up and comer, seems to be somewhat reliable on hardcourt.

Yeah it's a triple, so what?

Roddick felt disappointment against Frank Dancevic in the last tournament in LA he should be good for SF at least again in Washington, he'll be wanting more... Venus Williams has now won 11 consecutive tour matches, some against solid talent (Chakvetadze 1&4, Petrova, etc) she's as good as gold these days and I always like betting on players like Williams because daddy'll be pissed if she loses. Roddick is playing for Connors and is off a shit effort. Haas has played fab this year on hardcourt (better than 3:1 W-L). Haas is up against a guy who has kicked around tour doing nothing. I expect Haas even off injury to be too much. He played great at Wimbledon although he had to leave in the 4th round with the injury. He wiped out Alajendro Falla 3&2 in the first round, he's probably a higher calibre than Michael Russell.

We shall see

Not going to lay on it but young Robin Haase over Marat Safin tonight at +225, I feel that's a crazy upset that can happen tonight. If Haase serves as well as he has been lately, Safin isn't that great at returning serve. If they get into a tiebreak situation and Marat slips this could easily fall away from him.

Gotta love the headcases. The young dutch player got some game.

Venus Williams tonight in straight sets over Anna Chakvetadze? -110?

Respectable, I think anyway. Williams is playing GREAT tennis right now, ripping off 12 straight tour wins now and of course winning the wimbledon crown. She worked Anna last time they played in straights (the middle of last month only - Fed Cup) 6-1, 6-4...
Istanbul Cup in 2005 was 6-2, 6-1. Can she challenge now?

Williams is 36-12 in games this tournament. Venus plays defense like really not many other WTA women on tour.

I don't often wager WTA but some things are often good, reliable bets. Chakvetadze has been great this year on hard (31-5) but lately her best wins have been against Hantuchova, Sugiyama, Mirza, these are exactly bangers. Williams is a gamer as well so she's always a solid set bet, especially when she's playing well.
