| http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/foot...al/4714437.stm Arsenal nearing deal for Baptista Wenger waits on Baptista Arsenal are close to agreeing a club record fee for Brazilian striker Julio Baptista, according to Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido. Del Nido says the Gunners have made an offer in excess of the £17.5m fee they paid for Jose Reyes in January 2004. He told Spanish newspaper Marca's website: "We still have not concluded an agreement between both clubs. "But what I can say is that Arsenal are getting close to the financial figure we could accept." Sevilla received £17.5m when they sold Reyes to the Gunners If you got the cash, they should sign every Brazilian they can get their hands on. Arsenal signed away J.A Calderon (Reyes), now they want another of their best guns. This should soon happen, Arsenal need to make moves. B
